I'll start with the positives: our room, 215, was spacious and clean with a comfy bed. Unfortunately, that's where the compliments end. Neither hotel nor ****** were busy considering our checkin was around 5:30 on a Wednesday night. However, the female hotel front desk clerk was less than hospitable when setting up my new member Edge Club card which later came with its own difficulties finding an eligible slot machine to use the $25 in Free Play. Most of the table games had no players, yet the dealers failed to acknowledge us. Even as my friend played a few hands of Blackjack, alone, the dealer did not greet or interact with him. In contrast, a male custodian and the female second floor slot machines supervisor on duty around 10 pm were polite when helping me utilize my Free Play. Although we set the thermostat accordingly before going to the gaming floor which was also sweltering, we returned to an unpleasantly hot room. Possibly the climate issue was because the room had one air output vent and none in the bathroom. Around midnight, I went to retrieve something from my car, accidentally picking up my Edge Club card rather than room key. I realized my mistake when attempting to open elevator leading to our room. The male desk clerk who I spoke to on the way out to my car, but received no response, looked up from the cell phone in his hands and noticed me struggling to open the elevator and curtly yelled ”That's the wrong card!”. Notably, the Edge Club card and key card look similar. I understand for security reasons the clerk could not issue a duplicate key card being the room was booked under my friend's name, but he acted aggravated and inconvenienced with my request. In summary, customer service, courtesy, and a cheerful, climate -controlled atmosphere are not priorities for the managers or employees at this establishment.
