Amazing and value-for-money! Will definitely recommend. Friendly staff, rooms is very clean and even had a nice view on 12th floor. They also helped to keep the luggage before check-in and after check-out. Breakfast also have good options, though sometimes might be a bit crowded. Location is just in front of 2 Trams, which one of them going to Train Central Station (Wien Hbf) directly. Also metro is within 5min walk. Besides that there are multiple Lidle or Billa supermarkets within 5min walk, and the Mariahilfer shopping street is just next to hotel. Would like to be back again!

Jazz In The City Hotel 28 February - 2 March 2023 Room 500 5 stars for its cleanliness and service! Location: We took the Vienna Airport Cab from the airport to the hotel. We paid Euro 37 (one way). It was very convenient. It took about 30 minutes. The driver drove carefully and was on time to fetch us at the airport. The hotel is accessible to the underground and shopping area. Reception: Excellent and very helpful! We were able to check in early and the room was already ready when we arrived. Room: Modern, fresh and very clean indeed! The bedsheets, pillow covers, towels and bed were all immaculately clean and dust free. It has all the amenities that you need. Our room was located in a quiet area. Bathroom/Toilet: Very clean indeed! Breakfast: Excellent breakfast! You can order sunny side up or omelette which is freshly cooked. Very clean and fresh breakfast area. Check out: Fast and effective! Recommendation: Why not paint the ceiling of the room white and paint the water pipes black? It will give a smooth, clean and fresh feel. The Mercure Raphael Vienna Reasons for choosing it: It was an affordable 4 star hotel in the city center of Vienna. Depending on traffic it's 40 Min. from the Airport. If you take the train, the Mercure Raphael is almost adjacent to the trainstation Vienna Mainstation. The Rooms: Our room was small, but clean and had an ok view. The bathroom was adequate for a four star hotel. Yet, there was no room service, no instructions, no fridge just a small boiler to make tea or coffee. The room was also bright and didn't look old - unlike the lifts. Breakfast: Don't expect too much from that breakfast. It wasn't ”Viennese” except for the chocolate cake. It was ample and filled up properly but the breakfast room was just a makeshift extension of the evening bar with not enough tables. Also the quality of the food was questionable: there was deli meat, no sausage or cooked bacon. It was just cheap deli meat from Aldi or Billi. The scrambled was ok. The bread tasted like warmed up industrial style bread from the grocery. The non-fresh juice came from the juice provider company. All coffee came from one single coffee machine, that wasn't a better machine than that in any bureau. Nice try! I don't know what 4 Stars means nowadays, but I have seen better - much better! Yet, for the price and location it's not all that bad either!

Positively to mention is the excellent location near a train (Westbahnhof) and subway station. Our stay was from 31.12.2022 to 03.01.2023. Room was a little small for 3 people, but we didn't spend much time in there anyway, except for sleeping. Room was not cleaned at the first day. Went down to the reception and was told that 10 cleaning ladies didn't show up on the first day of the new year. No apologies, but at least received new towels. Management seems to be uninspired. In other hotels have received a bar voucher or bonus points/credits upon such lack of service. Second day the housekeeping staff issue was still not solved as I heard more customer complaining about untidy rooms at the reception. Upon check-out again no question about if we have been satisfied with our stay neither a goodbye! Only the breakfast service team did a great job in cleaning and arranging free tables and filling up the buffet items despite the hotel seemingly been fully booked.

Hotel muy bueno y económico para las características y localización que tiene. Está situado a 600 metros más o menos del Naschmarkt(mercado de Viena),al lado tiene un supermercado y a unos 2 km más o menos del centro de la ciudad. Se puede ir andando a todos los monumentos característicos de la ciudad menos Palacio de Schönbrunn que hay que coger el metro.El desayuno es buffet y es bastante correcto. No puntuó con el máximo este hotel porque al hacer el check-in nuestra habitación no estaba limpia aún (habíamos avisado a la hora que llegariamos).

This is a charming hotel just 2 blocks from the nearest subway stop (though Vienna is a very walkable and safe city, so I often bypassed it to walk anyway). Coffee/tea/hot chocolate is available for free throughout the day and evening, along with tea. Front desk is manned 24/7 with friendly helpful English speaking staff. Rooms are cleaned daily and are very comfortable, with strong air conditioning that can be individually adjusted. Elevators are a bit confusing as there are two sets, one for one section of rooms and one for a different one (and one cannot use them interchangeably) but once you get used to that, it's not an issue. There is also an outdoor seating area, presumably used by smokers I imagine since the entire hotel is nonsmoking indoors. I had no problems here at all except a hair dryer that didn't work, so the front desk loaned me another one. It's a good value for Vienna. I would stay here again and recommend it to other travelers.

Hotel location is very good, very close to the Golden Hall and the National Theatre, very close to the commercial pedestrian street, shopping is very convenient. The nearby subway station is also very close. The room facilities are quite complete, especially the bathroom is very large, it is quite comfortable to live. However, the room color is slightly greener and it is a little weird. The front desk staff is also very good. (The Viennese are very enthusiastic overall. It’s really patient to ask for directions on the road. I will tell you in detail how to go, even take you for a while.)

Let's break down my experience into two parts. First part is the utter lack of customer service presented by the hotel manager and the second part will be the room/hotel itself. I showed up on a Thursday night with my two teenagers for a 3 night stay. The manager asked why we had two rooms. I let him know we only had one room and showed him my printed reservation. He said that there were two reservations and that I had made a mistake and must pay for both rooms. He literally said it just like that. I explained that it must be a mistake, I never received an email confirmation of any kind so would have had no way of knowing that the website had booked two reservations. He said it was my fault and that I must have deleted the emails. Since I was in a foreign country and wanted to move past the mixup, I offered to pay the first night and asked him to rent out the room for the next two nights. Given it was a weekend in Vienna and that his hotel was sold out, I thought that was a good compromise. He agreed. Well, the short story is he rented the room out for Friday and Saturday at 40% of what I paid and said I would have to pay the difference plus the entire first night. We had a lively conversation about his lack of customer service, his unwillingness to compromise in any way, and his desire to blame me for the mistake. After about 15 minutes of this, he said that if I didn't pay this amount he would charge me for the full reservation cost of all 3 nights. Needless to say, it was a ridiculous interaction and horrible. So if you choose to stay at this hotel, just know that any mix up (your fault or not) will be blamed on you. As far as the hotel. The only thing going for it is it's location. Right on the main shopping street. The rooms are insanely small, even by European standards, the bathroom is about 6ft x 4ft, and the decor is old. It really is a 2-3 start hotel at best. Also, I booked my room in advance directly on the hotel website and the cost appears to have been considerably more than what you could reserve via Kayak or TripAdvisor, etc. So in conclusion the manager was terrible, deceptive, greedy, inflexible, and lacking integrity. The hotel itself was okay with it's primary benefit being it's location. Good Luck!

As you enter, your senses are assaulted by the plum covered grand entrance stairway to the reception. This quirky. cozy, boutique property resonates with the atmosphere of the 1920's. Mind you, rooms have all the modern amenities; elevator, wi-fi, honesty bar, etc. Keeping with the theme, you actually are provided a key to open your guest room. On the lower level is BarFly's , a sexy, yet subdued bar; perfect for a rendezvous or a late night cocktail. And of course, music from the 1920-40's playing in the background. They offer an adventurous cocktail menu, and I tried (for the first time) an absinthe sour; terrific! The hotel staff is a combination of typical Austrian efficiency and helpfulness. The Josefine is conveniently located on a quiet street off the Mariahifestrasse shopping district, and a one minute walk to the Underground station. A real gem tucked away in Vienna's 6th district.

This was our first time staying in an automated, efficiency-style apart-hotel and it was a good one! We weren't expecting daily cleaning service, so that was a very nice surprise! We loved having clean towels and fresh trash bags daily. It was wonderful having free washers and dryers in the basement... a godsend on a very long stay! I loved having a functioning towel warmer, too; most European towel warmers don't work as intended, sadly. All my communications with the Oliver Team were very prompt, kind, and professional. Check-in was easy and worked as advertised in prior outreach - again, a wonderful discovery when arriving late at night in an unfamiliar area. One day, housekeeping forgot 2 of our towels and didn't replace our kitchen paper towels/dishwasher detergent, but when I wrote in to customer service, they made it right the next day. We thought it was a little strange that housekeeping didn't make the beds - especially that they were just European-style duvets - but that was just an oddity, not an inconvenience. This try at a contactless residence program is working! I'd love to see more of these in the U.S.
