Good business hotel, ok location. But you need a transportation to move around as the hotel transportation is higher than the local standard. No Grubhub nor Uber. Nice spacious room w a shower (trip.com stare “no private bath” I was worried but it meant “no bath tub”. Nice pool on the 5th floor w jets (staff will start when any guests are in the pool”. Very helpful staff, nice breakfast. Cons are: if you take a shower on 5th, entire floor will be wet ….. design error I guess.

The hotel is very style, old-fashioned villa, very popular, and the pool is quite big. Living is very quiet. The rooms are still big, all old mahogany furniture, very colonial style. The hotel has a SPA, but it is gone at 9 pm. The hotel is a bit old, but very clean and full of charm. Breakfast is OK, a well-regulated Western breakfast. In particular, the front desk service is really good and the cost is patient. The entire hotel has English service, no Chinese. The fly in the ointment is that the pool is cleaned very frequently.

My family and I stayed here for our last 2 nights in Vientiane and we were not disappointed. Upon checking in we were greeted by refreshing cold drinks. The check in process was incredibly smooth. The hotel staff helped us move our bags to our two adjoining rooms. Our rooms overlooked the garden/pond and was extremely cozy. I only wished we had stayed longer. The pool was amazing! I found it rare to get deep pool that is swimmable in Laos and Thailand and this one did not disappoint! It was perfect. We were able to get poolside service too. We also dined at the restaurant and our dinner and drinks were great. It is hard to find nice cocktails in SEA outside of the major hotels and Green Park’s dry martini did not disappoint. My parents liked the hotel so much they even joined us the following night and rented their own room right next to ours. We had a fabulous time and will definitely be back to stay here since we have family in Laos. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.

A hotel with many international business travellers which is always a good sign. Location is quite good. Breakfast spread is amazing. If you are a non smoker, do ensure u get a non smoking room. I was first assigned a smoking room n asked for a change - the non smoking room is definitely of a newer and cleaner feel. I will not recommend the in room massage - it is a few times higher than street prices and the massage i had was really more of just a rub down with oil, masseuse did not seem to know pressure points at all and she showed up in a company tshirt that said ”hotel laundry services”.

But a mattress as hard as a plank of wood, air conditioning barely working, dark lighting with 5W bulbs, the lack of hot water in the bathroom, and the loud noise from the road below made my 14 days stay unpleasant. This was reinforced by very, very basic food, always the same at each meal, with poor quality products (tasteless meat, sometimes giving the impression of eating cardboard). Don't hope to have any reduction, or gift, even small. I broke a glass and I was asked to pay 6 $ to replace it (the real cost is 0,8$). However, at the same time, I paid 910$ for my stay. I was there in a particular context, since I did about forty when I entered Laos. So my comments on the food do not relate to the restaurants at this hotel. But this is a hotel that I would not go back to and that I do not recommend

Very nice hotel. A small swimming pool, nice room, but above all VERY friendly and nice staff! Never met such a good hotel staff! The people are just so nice and friendly! Only thing to be desired is that there are too many mosquitoes here, I got bit 10 times. Note: it's 40~70 US dollars at the spot so sometimes it's cheaper than online.

I loved everything about this hotel. The rooms were immaculate. Super comfortable bed, and a seemingly newly renovated bathroom. The staff were all incredibly friendly. I liked the location, being just a couple of minutes walk to the Patuxay monument, local restaurants and supermarkets. I would, however suggest to download either Indrive or Loca APPs for transport, as getting to the main tourist area near the Mekong, malls etc is a long walk, and right now the temperatures are close to 40 degrees, so not pleasant....but with those taxi apps you can get pretty much anywhere in the downtown for $1.50~$2. Overall a great hotel, and definitely recommended.

Although there were some problems in the communication pick-up at the beginning, the pick-up finally went smoothly. The hotel location is not convenient, but the hardware is pleasantly surprised. The room is a suite and very comfortable. There are two wash basins in the bathroom, which reflects the French romance. The breakfast is also great.

After checking in yesterday, it was found that the daily necessities in the hotel room were seriously missing, so I made complaints before checking out. Then, when I checked out today, I gave feedback again to the front desk staff, and found that booking a room on Ctrip in advance, the price is almost twice as expensive as checking in directly at the hotel front desk. The price paid on Ctrip is 245 yuan, converted into the local currency of Laos, it is 379,750 kip (the exchange rate is 1:1550), and the price for checking in directly at the front desk is actually 200,000 kip. In other words, Ctrip is 179,750 kip more expensive than the front desk price of the hotel. Converted into RMB is 116 yuan. Yes, the price of Ctrip is totally 116 yuan more expensive. As a loyal fan of Ctrip, I expressed my anger when faced with such a situation, but after my anger, I lost more of my trust in Ctrip. Before encountering this situation, many of our Ctrip fans made a reservation with the attitude that Ctrip was slightly cheaper than the actual price of the hotel. And he firmly believes in this idea. I hope that the Ctrip official can give me an explanation and don't let my trust in Ctrip be wiped out.

After making a mistake with my hotel booking (booked one near the river but in Thailand, without a visa) and only discovering this upon arriving at Vientiane airport I decided to take a taxi to see the location of the Thai Embassy. I walked around the area near the Embassy for 5 minutes and came across a hotel that looked suitable for my stay. The Grand Hotel, Vientiane. The staff at the reception counter arranged a suitable room for me. It now seems that I walked into something amazing! I am not one to stay in a hotel unless I had to do so. I am a seasoned traveler who travels alone but occasionally with friends. Within this stay this hotel was hitting my requirements all of the time to being my ideal hotel! It is well designed with an Asian and Western decorative style. It has good sizeable rooms. The dining area is great and so is the hotel reception area to relax and feel comfortable. The small coffee shop in the reception area is an excellent facility to have with a good selection of food on offer for a reasonable price and good service. The staff at the hotel are to a high professional standard and always have a smile and a concern to your stay being an enjoyable one. Nearby to the hotel there are a variety of good restaurants and shops. The hotel is in a business and residential area that also caters well for the tourist. I would highly recommend this hotel whilst on business or holiday trip to Vientiane. Overall a really good hostel to stay in Vientiane. We couldn't find any available rooms online anymore so we direct messaged them on Facebook and it turned out they still had a twin room free for our dates. The room was not very large but big enough to be comfortable in. Bathroom was clean but the toilet seat was loose so had to be careful using this. All in all the room was good enough for us. The café downstairs is really nice, breakfast that was included was lovely and large portions (especially the rice soup) and the food we had for lunch there was amazing. Really nice vibes as well so you could even come here just for the food if you're staying elsewhere. The only minus for this place is the location. It's a bit on the edge of the city centre and quite a walk away from the hustle and bustle. There's some things to do close by, like the famous arch, but most good restaurants and bars are on the other end of the centre 15-20 minutes walk away. We don't mind walking a bit so not a huge problem for us but just something to keep in mind. We also organised our transport, the sleeper bus service to Pakse, which all went really well. They picked us up in a minivan at the agreed time and brought us to the bus station. There the driver paid for our tickets and showed us to our sleeper bus. We were surprised by the bus in a positive way, which was much better and nicer than we expected from all the stories we'd heard. It looked like the driver bought the tickets from a company called Chitprasong and they used King of Bus buses which were pretty comfortable. Just be aware the beds are for 2 people so if you're alone you'll have to share with a stranger. All in all highly recommend though
