Agriturismo Salinola

We went here for dinner expecting the experience to be great based on the trip advisor reviews. Everybody must have had a different experience to us, or their reviews are fabricated. To begin with, their so called “frivolecy of the home” was as described - frivolous. The owner Fabio described it as antipasti. I’m not sure what his definition of antipasti is, but it’s not what the rest of Italy describe it as. It was just a bland zucchini fritter with the consistency of day old bread. The fritter was on a plate of wilted spinach and about the size of a cup cake. The pasta was orecchiette with some dried bread crumbs and some tasteless green sauce of unknown origin. 2nd course was barely edible. Was a tiny stuffed roasted eggplant which was about the only thing that tasted OK, but only about half was edible as the skin was so tough that you couldn’t cut through it with a knife. It was served with a tomato salad (literally 2 semi green tomatoes chopped into 8 - no olive oil). However the crowing jewel in this culinary disaster was the “dessert” - a bowl of uncut and unripe fruit. All of this was provided without a knife sharp enough to cut the fruit. The waiter didn’t crack a smile, say hi, offer olive oil, salt or pepper. We mentioned this to Fabio when we left and said it was our fault for not asking. Add to this the cost. For 4 adults and 2 kids with 2 beers and a carafe of €5 red wine and 2 bottles of water we were charged €278. (They had the audacity to charge €30 for each child for a bowl of orecchiette with tomato sauce, some microwave meat balls, 1 potato and the worlds thinnest and driest chicken schnitzel that was 2/3 bread crumbs). Compare this to the most wonderful agriturismo experience we had at Lu Stazzu in Sardinia which was 1000x better, with incredible service, and amazing food, which cost €60 per adult, kids free, and drinks included. The gelato on the way home was the highlight of the evening. !!

We had a fabulous holiday thanks to the caring, super-hospitable owners and staff at Agritourismo Salinola. The hotel/venue was a sanctuary; our two toddlers absolutely loved it especially the pools, the playground and the charming family of the owners. All in a delightful setting of beautiful buildings and trees. Tasty home-style Italian cooking every evening and good breakfasts. Our room was a good size for the 4 of us and air conditioned and perfectly cleaned every day. The staff truly understand hospitality, nothing was too much trouble and it felt like they really wanted us to have a great holiday. We'd go back.

Not worth the price... Good staff, but very small room for family, breakfast with poor taste cakes. The dinner is correct(good quantity but not always in quality), it depends of the day... The worst: you only represent money to Fabio! He announced 15€ for a washing machine( that IS very expensive ) and he bills you 18€! Moreover beware of the price of the minibar ! The prices on the poster do not correspond to the price you pay ! A bottle of wine is displayed at 6€ but in fact it is billled 10€. I'm really disappointed with this unfair method... Not good business sense, only lured by money... That's a shame for an agroturismo... I WILL NOT RECOMMAND THIS PLACE

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel extremely welcome by Fabio and Paola, they're great hosts and made us feel very welcome. The accommodation is comfortable and very clean, facilities great and excellent home cooked breakfast and dinner. All the staff super friendly, we'll be back next year for sure

Very clean and well maintained hotel. The beds are very comfortable. Clean towels are provided every day. Fabio and other staff help with everything..The location is also very good.. Only 2 km from Ostuni . We were very satisfied with this holiday. I would recommend Agriturismo Salinola to everyone.

We spent 4 really confortable days, absolutely beautiful house with swimming pool and among the olive trees ! Quiet space and really near to Ostuni, perfect location. Thanks to Fabio, our trip has been a success !

This masseria is an example of "you get what you pay for". The ambience, vibe, and amenities are typical of a 2/3 star, average stay, and the type of people that stay there are indicative of the average quality of the place. Spend more, and stay at the many other masserias in the area.

Agriturismo Salinola is a wonderful place to relax & unwind. Fabio is the perfect host and goes out of his way to ensure that his guests are happy. He patiently provided us with maps, parasols, advice on parking/ beaches / places to visit .... in fact anything we asked for! We felt well taken care of and enjoyed bed, breakfast and the evening meals cooked by Fabio's lovely mother and sister. We like to stay in small places with character, rather than big hotels and this was ideal. Not too many people sharing the pool at any one time and small enough to get to know other guests. We found it very friendly and the location was ideal for exploring the area by car, being close to both coasts and some beautiful towns including Ostuni, Cisternino, Alberobello, Locorotondo, Lecce etc. Within the grounds there are several quiet areas for sitting and relaxing, so guests are able to seek solitude/shade if needed or sit by the pool and socialise, whilst enjoying drinks from Lorenzo's bar :) Our room was cleaned meticulously every day and was lovely and cool in spite of the high temperatures in September. (There was also air conditioning available but we only needed to use this a couple of times) Lots of wardrobe space, a small fridge which we really appreciated and a safe. The owners really do think of everything! I have no hesitiation in recommending Fabio's agriturismo to you. We would love to return one day.
