Motel Arctic Wind
4.3/557 Reviews
First night in Iceland, after a long and tiring journey. After the delayed flight, buffer at the airport, problems with the car rental, luckily we arrived at the Arctic Wind. Clean room and the two owners to welcome us, even if they had written that they would leave the room open. The rooms, with private bathroom, all have their own entrance. You don't have to go through a common area first. In addition there is a nice kitchen to share with the other guests and, if desired, they prepare breakfast themselves for a small surcharge. The room, although not large, reassured us at first sight and this, arriving tired in the evening, is worth a lot. Monika gave us a lot of information about our whole trip and some great ”tips” to visit the volcano on her own, which we did successfully. She and her husband are also tour operators. On the motel website you can find what they do. From the contacts via email and whatsapp it did not seem, but she proved to be really helpful and generous with advice. For the single night of August 7th, I spent 110 € for a double. Hello.
