We had a delightful stay at this hotel! The room was very comfortable and cosy, providing the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. Situated conveniently close to the bustling high street and within walking distance of numerous attractions, the hotel's location couldn't have been better. The friendly staff and charming atmosphere added to the overall wonderful experience. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay in the area

Hotel is lovely when you arrive but rooms tatty and need updating. Bathroom okay but worn, rust around plug and bath.
Breakfast finished by 9.30 so didn’t get a chance to try it.
Paid £75 which was fine as came for Christmas market so great location but wouldn’t want to pay more as not worth it

The staff were all first class, polite, well trained and helpful. A total change to other hotels we have tried in the City. Hugely recommended if you like to be cared for and looked after brilliantly.

There is no one of the dirtiest Mercure hotels---this Mercure hotel is in a very good location. The old facilities inside are no longer tangled and can only be accepted. However, the sanitation and cleaning inside is too poor, and it doesn't match the 4 star ⭐ hotel at all. In the first room, the bed was used, the chair was moved, and a room card holder remained in the room. The hotel immediately changed my room. Next, they were going to take a bath, and they found the towels they had used in the bathroom, so they complained, and they apologized. Then, I was preparing to take a shower, and found that the bathtub was full of hairs, which was not cleaned at all. Then Ctrip followed up throughout the journey. Ctrip did provide a very good service and helped me handle it even in the middle of the night. I really didn't believe in the sanitation of the hotel, and stopped tossing about it, so I slept in clothes. The next morning, I opened the trash can and found that the trash can was not cleared. This is the worst international chain hotel I have ever stayed in! Strongly request that Mercure should be delisted.
