Very good location. Just a few minutes from the 20 yuan viewpoint and the ancient town is also only a few minutes walk just across the bridge.The hosts are amazing and the breakfast noodles were very tasty as well. Highly recommended.

This homestay has an excellent review which made me decide to book this for our stay in Xingping town. However there are pros and cons and hopefully this will help you to decide whether this is suitable for your stay. Pros: 1. Excellent, excellent, excellent location. Literally opposite the 20RMB scenic point and near the raft pier. The walk to the ancient town is only 450m away and took about 5 mins. 2. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. 3. Breakfast with homemade Guilin noodles are delicious. 4. Room is clean but basic. Cons: 1. Disposable towels are provided. Not the fluffy ones that you get at a hotel. 2. No list/elevator in the building. However, we felt the pros outweighed the cons and made our stay enjoyable.

This hotel is great! First off, the location is superb. It's right in front of the 20 RMB banknote scenic spot and the popular cormorant (fishing eagle) photo spot. Cross the pontoon bridge and you're in Xingping Old Street, and the Li River bamboo raft boarding point is just a few hundred meters away. You can even walk to the Li River for a swim, and from your room, you can see Old Man Hill (Lao Zhai Shan) from the balcony! The owner is from Liaoning and is very friendly; staying here feels just like being at home. There's a tea table in the lobby with seasonal Wogan oranges and Shatang tangerines available for free. The small courtyard outside has another large tea table and a swing, which is very pleasant. For breakfast, you get a filling bowl of Guilin rice noodles with a fried egg. After renting an electric scooter for two days, the owner even helped me push it in and charge it. The overall experience was really good! Xingping and the Li River are perfect for a leisurely trip. Rent an electric bike and freely explore nearby spots like the Yellow Cloth Reflection, Nine Horse Fresco Hill, Xianggong Mountain, and Lengshui Ferry.

One of the best services I have ever had, so impressed by people in Yangshuo, how hospitable they are! Balcony was a bonus, the room itself was clean and one couldn’t believe how close it was to the 20-dollars scenic spot and the old town. Breakfast was made with heart. We had a wonderful stay there.

Great place to stay, especially if you choose the room on the top floor (floor 5). It has an amazing view of the mountains. Host was very helpful and patient given that I do not speak Chinese. Would stay here again. He also made a delicious breakfast for me.

Absolutely recommended! Walkable to the ancient town and many restaurants, shops, and cafes. Across the street is the 20rmb spot and you can also take a photo with the cormorant fisherman. Amazing views from our room's balcony. Our room is big and complete. Complete amenities. The boss was very nice and helpful. He helped us bring our luggages to the fifth floor. He also helped us get a scooter for only 20rmb/day. The breakfast rice noodles really delicious. He also gave us lots of free bottled water and let us borrow his flashlight at night. Superb!

We loved it here - simple but perfect. Beautiful view, a short walk to the bamboo rafts or into town and a delicious noodle breakfast on the terrace looking out over the river and mountains.

We really enjoyed our stay, staff were very helpful going out of there way to help. Location was very good on the river opposite the ancient town. Lots of building going on including a new bridge. Currently the only way to cross the river is a temporary floating bridge. Would recommend the hotel to anyone.

The owner of this accommodation truly offers exceptional service. From the moment we got out of the taxi, we were warmly welcomed at the entrance. He lent us a free electric scooter to use. When he found out we were vegetarians and had trouble finding food, he kindly let us use his kitchen during our stay. The accommodation is very close to several tourist attractions, all within walking distance — such as the 20 Yuan scenic spot, bamboo rafting, and Xingping Ancient Street. There are also many places renting traditional clothes for photo shoots. The room is clean and spacious. We rented it for 3 adults, and it had two air conditioners. Free drinking water and fresh plums were provided daily. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for accommodation that feels like staying at your own uncle’s house. Even when we checked out at 7 a.m., the owner got up early just to boil corn and eggs for us to eat on the journey. You won’t find a kinder and helpful hotel owner! My mom and I were impressed by how friendly and willing to help us he was. He also cooks a really good breakfast. The rooms have magnificent views on the Li river and the location is great to walk by the beautiful scenery, and a few minutes from the old center with all the restaurants and cafes. I highly recommend this home stay!
