EXCEPTIONAL. I’ve been solo traveling for 6 weeks now and this is the best hotel I’ve stayed at in any city or town. Truly stunning location, very very well designed hotel, and lovely underfloor heating. Best breakfast I’ve had outside of luxury hotels, great hiking nearby. Really loved my stay - kind of regret I didn’t stay any longer. Very little food around Yuanyang rice paddies, but the hotel has a good restaurant on site.

Friends who want to stay in various terraced fields should bring some snacks. The B&B has a kitchen where you can order meals, and you can also walk to several restaurants along the road. If you stay there, if you are afraid of the cold at night in October, you will need to turn on the electric mattress. It is still very comfortable.
