An amazing hotel in the ancient stone village of Baoshan. Getting there is an adventure and you need to walk the last 800m - you can get a donkey to carry your luggage if you have big bags. The room was beautiful with amazing views (see pictures). Bed was very comfortable and the AC worked well. The two ladies working at the hotel were extremely kind and helpful. Breakfast was simple and plentiful and we enjoyed the dinner too - fresh cooked local food. An amazing stay in a unique location

It is recommended to take the snow-capped mountain line. Although it is a little difficult to walk, the scenery is good. The most important thing is the summer peak season. The car from the direction of the Tiger Leaping Gorge Lijiang is long, but there is no need to queue up from the reverse direction of the Tiger Leaping. The viewing platform near the Tiger Leaping is very good. There is no place to eat near the hotel. We have dinner, and the mushroom chicken hot pot is very delicious. Continue to the East Ring Line to Shangri-La the next day. The overall stay experience is good, recommended to people who want to go to Shangri-La's East Line with a slow pace.

The boss is a hardworking Naxi man who has run the Daju Inn for many years and has received many foreign enthusiasts who love canyon hiking. Perhaps influenced by his wife, an English teacher, he has a huge ”ambition” after upgrading the inn to a homestay. He hopes to get government support to promote the development of local basic English education in a few years and build Daju into a domestically famous English village to attract more canyon hiking enthusiasts at home and abroad to Tiger Leaping Gorge!
