We booked a junior suite through the tourist office, supposedly with a lake view and fridge, neither of which was available. Upon arrival, a higher room rate was requested than in the booking after we noticed this, the hotel refused to refund the overpayment, and new terms such as personal tax, taxes and a "destination fee" were constantly being invented to justify the surcharge of €84 . Finally, the tourist office also confirms that the surcharge is not justified. But the stubborn ones still didn't understand, so we left early. Atmosphere and equipment corresponds at best to three stars. There are plenty of alternatives.

I would immediately like to note the rude attitude towards guests. This manifested itself in absolutely everything: Cleaning. She wasn't there, they were just making the bed. In 10 days, the towels were changed only once. On the first day we had the imprudence to leave a stain on the table. So, the caring cleaning staff pretended that it was none of his business and left this stain with us for the entire holiday. Probably the next vacationers also caught him. Elevator. We injured our leg, but they gave us a room on the 4th floor. The elevator did not work for almost the entire holiday; when asked what we should do, they did not even offer us to change our room to a lower floor. And about the elevator, the comment “wait until they fix it” completely killed me. Get ready to carry heavy bags up the stairs to the top floor, because the promised elevator and concierge service are NOT here! Communication with the reception The telephone in the room is only for decoration, it is not even connected and there are no wires. The administrator (introduced herself as the owner) said that a wire was needed to have a connection. (The logic is, if you want to call the reception, go down to the reception and ask for the wire) We waited for it, but no one gave it. We came to the conclusion that the phone is here for decoration. Food. Be prepared to eat the missing canned fruit for breakfast. Only a delicious pate saves breakfast. Dinner. The cooks rotate during the campaign. One day the food is delicious, the next it’s terribly salty. Other restaurants are far away, so eat what they give you. And most importantly, communication with the owner. She doesn’t care about you so much that she doesn’t even hide it. Rude, snaps. Of course, we wanted to leave earlier, we warned 3 days in advance. They said the reason was a leg injury, it was difficult to walk up the stairs to the 4th floor. They found a compromise for us - we were offered to ‘forgive’ 2 bottles of water and a glass of beer that we had ordered earlier. We paid around 250 euros per day, that is, 10 euros for two days. After reading the comments of others, I realized that it was their rule to take money and get ‘lost’ about cleaning, the elevator and the telephone - there were no comments except a dissatisfied face. Come to Zell Am See - it's a wonderful city, but never choose this hotel. Here they will spoil you and your comfort! The main thing is that you pay. Service of the cheapest motel! Not 4 star hotels
