Zhangjiajie Jijianshan She

Very nice room, super nice and friendly staff

I had a good experience with this hotel. The hotel is situated about 2km from the south gate check-in area. The hotel will drive you there and can pick you up from the south exit on your return to the hotel. When I arrived they let me check in early and gave me a map, giving me some suggested routes to take for the afternoon. They added my wechat to help me communicate with them. Although, they do speak some English, enough to communicate. There is a restaurant opposite the hotel where you can get your meals. The food is good. Near the South gate for Zhangjiajie is a COVID testing station. The only downside is the location, it is 25 minute drive to WulingYuan village. Which is not too bad, but then I learned that the tunnel to access the village closes at 6pm until the morning. Some taxi drivers are reluctant to take you the long way around the mountain after this time. When exploring zhangjiajie I entered the south gate and exited the East gate. I had to leave early and couldn't enjoy dinner in WulingYuan due to the tunnel closing soon. It is something to consider when planning your stay. However, the food and hotel staff are very nice, the bed is comfortable. If you focus only about seeing the mountain, it is not a good location.
