Johor Bahru, a vibrant Malaysian city, invites you to step into a unique pottery class, explore the local pottery heritage at the intersection of diverse cultures, and embark on an art journey at your fingertips.

Course ContentLocal: The course focuses on traditional Johor pottery, using local high-quality clay, which has a fine texture and is easy to shape. Students learn unique carving and modeling techniques, and the pottery is fired in a wood kiln. The works exude a strong Malay style and carry the regional culture. Students create many pieces of Johor Bahru-style pottery in one class, and take away their works after graduation to continue their interest in pottery.

Class size is exquisite, and teachers have rich experience: The class size is usually small, which makes it easier for teachers to give careful guidance, and students can exchange interesting stories about local life. The atmosphere is warm and harmonious, which inspires creative inspiration. Most of the ceramic artists who teach the course are local senior craftsmen, whose family has passed down the skills from generation to generation and are well versed in the essence of ceramic art. They personally demonstrate and explain in detail, restore the ancient craftsmanship, and let the students understand the beauty of tradition.

Flexible courses and diverse facilities and equipment: The course time is flexible, and you can basically study at any time. The venues often combine Malay architectural style, open-air or semi-open-air, with a fresh and quiet environment, injecting diverse inspiration into pottery creation. The pottery-making tools are traditional and simple, mainly wood-fired kilns, following the ancient method, natural textures made by wood smoke, and the fired works are simple and mellow, and electric kilns are also used to assist in ensuring firing efficiency.

Experience pottery courses in Johor Bahru, allowing you to deeply experience the traditional handicrafts of Malaysia. The long-standing pottery culture here carries a unique regional charm and rich craft heritage. Touch the traces of history with your own hands,Experience the wonderful transformation from clay to finished products, feel the charm of clay taking shape in your hands, and appreciate the unique Southeast Asian pottery style.

Paradigm Mall, a hop, skip, and a jump away from SG

Paradigm Mall, situated at Johor Bahru 81200, has everything you needed for a good time. First stop, Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC). Movie tickets were only RM12 (~S$3.87)! We caught Disney's Elemental and were blown away with the diney emotions. The theater was comfortable, cold (Which we like) and spacious After the movie, we went to Kinsahi Japanese Restaurant, located at Lot 3F-18. The yaki soba was shiok and satisfying, especially when they served it on a hot stone to keep it crispy and hot. And the sashimi in the raw bowl was freshyoo. The only thing was, they forgot our tempura order and served it a bit later. For dessert we went to Daily Fresh Yoghurt at Lot K-26, Level 4. The yoghurt really tasted like llao llao Among the many stores in the mall, there was also a photobooth for just 15 MYR$ for 2 3 shot strips, where you got the option to take your time and even one reshoot per picture #paradigmall #johorbaru #shopping #japaneserestaurant #yogurt #photobooth

🇲🇾 Spa time inside a shopping mall

#spas #100WaysOfTravel I can get quality spa time inside Paradigm mall at Johor Bahru. Over here there are 2 spa places and both are offering Thai style massage. It is easy to make appointments and they are also ok for walk in customers. It may get busy during weekend and spa appointment might be fully booked. You enter the Siam Oasia and you will get transported to Thailand because the place is decorated in Thailand style and their therapists are Thai nationality too. They offer many types of treatments and if you are running out of time then a 30 minutes quick massage is also ok too. #malaysia #johorbahru #liveyourdreams #takethattrip

Getting There - Attractions - Hotels - Food & Restaurants - Shopping - The mall is very big and not very crowded on a Saturday afternoon. Love the huge supermarket on the first floor and remember to bring your own shopping bag. There are also many eateries and spoilt for choices. For those visiting from Singapore, there is a taxi stand right in front of the mall and cost a fixed RM30 to go back to Toppen

Fung Taiwanese Cuisine 丰台湾私房菜

Fung Taiwanese Cuisine 丰台湾私房菜

I recently had the opportunity to dine at the newly opened Taiwanese Cuisine restaurant in Toppen Johor Bahru, conveniently located next to IKEA Tebrau. Our meal consisted of some of their signature dishes, including the Salted Crispy Chicken, Tempura, Shrimp and Pork Wanton Noodles, Mee Sua, and Boba Brown Sugar Milk Tea. The food at this restaurant was decent, with some highlights. The Salted Crispy Chicken was a standout, offering a satisfying crunch and delightful seasoning. The Wanton Noodles were flavorful, and the Mee Sua had a comforting homely taste. The Boba Brown Sugar Milk Tea was a sweet treat to end the meal. Toppen Johor Bahru - family fun with kids

So many free playgrounds for the kids though the paid ones are at great value too! Our 3.5 years old toddler had a great busy day out there and ended her fun with the rooftop water playground with a shower facility just beside it. Level 2 outside ikea has 2 dry playgrounds and the rooftop one has a wet and dry one side by side. We went on a weekend but the crowd was manageable. Would certainly go again for the little one to enjoy next year! #jbstaycation #jbtrip #toppen #playgrounds #waterplayground

kuu Hainanese cafe paradigm 4F 4th floor

heard and read about this place from fellow trip.Com posters and decided to give it a try since it’s raining and difficult to visit those coffee shops and Food courts along shophouses. took a rm5 grab ride from the point boutique hotel on a weekday after checkout and headed straight to this cafe which we have been wanting to try. chose a table overlooking the skating rink on 3F, the toddler was excited to get her baby chair while watching what’s happening in the rink. mobile scanning of QR code was the fastest way to order our food while hubby browsed through the manual menu. Hainanese curry rice was appetising for me but unlike the usual hainese curry. steam bread was fabulous and mee rebus / fried bee Hoon was average. drinks were ok but we like it that there’s option to choose customising of food (eg. less sweet, kaya, butter). we were too full to try mixue after that. #境外遊 #urbanexplorer #foodie #cafe #bucketlistreboot
