Travelling around China can be daunting for a foreigner. I first made contact with the owner a week before check in. The boss, though Chinese kindly communicated with me through WeChat and helped me to find information about bus transportation from Xiahe and also helped to arrange transportation back to Lanzhou. When I asked to wash clothes, the hotel let me use the washing machine and helped me to get it done. We travelled 8 hours from Xiahe to Zhagana and we were starving upon arrival. The chef quickly cooked up 3 delicious dishes for us. Real home-made taste, very satisfying. Rooms look exactly as pictured and the view from the room is spectacular. The room and amenities are clean and the bed is super comfortable and cosy. The room has heating and electric blankets. The location is great, up the hill from the scenic spot parking lot and about 200m from sunrise viewing platform. A kind and helpful boss and staff, delicious food, cosy atmosphere and unspoilt views made this the highlight of my trip. Definitely recommend👍
