: Bachelor Ski Resort From the portland, you can drive to the town of Bond in three hours. There is the sixth-ranked snow field in the United States: the bachelor ski resort [smirk] we will be here for 2 days. Ski training. General locals will bring their own ski equipment. The first day after we rent the ski on the first day, we will record the size of our feet, the size of the skateboard, etc., and save a lot of time. The first day from 10 am to 4 pm, slipped for nearly 6 hours, the snow is superb! The point is that people are really super small and super! At the end of the second day, we went to the high-level slide. If we got down, we wouldnt say it. At night, stay at the amazing Tetherow Hotel, just outside the golf course. The hotel has a free shuttle bus service! Its a great pleasure to have a few drinks in the hotel by the warm stove during the day. If you don't ski, you can also stroll in the town of bend.

#easytravelpost Sparks Lake is 25 mi SW of Bend on the Cascade Lakes Hwy (Hwy 46), first lake past Mount Bachelor. Free day-use, no entry booth, but the last 1.5 mi access road is lunar-surface washboard — 20 min in, 20 out, even in a Subaru; high-clearance helps, don't bring a low sedan. No coffee trailer at the lake (despite the title prompt — the real setup is: you bring the coffee). I packed a 5 USD Stumptown cold brew from Bend, drove in at 07:20, and walked the Ray Atkeson Loop (2.3 mi, 60 ft gain) — subalpine fir and moss on the lava rocks where Soda Creek fans out, 4°C at dawn in July, South Sister pink above the mist. The mossy hero is the creek delta on the lake's east arm: Sphagnum mats between lava bombs, the water 10 ft deep max, a sandhill crane calling at 07:50. I sat on a lava rock with the cold brew, ate a 6 USD breakfast burrito from Bend's Thump Coffee I'd grabbed en route, and watched the light hit Broken Top. Mistake: I forgot bug spray late June — mosquitoes in the creek delta are savage; DEET mandatory. Another: no cell signal, no water refill, no trash cans — pack out. Would you drive the washboard 1.5 mi in at 07:00 with a 5 USD Bend cold brew for Sparks Lake's mossy lava-creek loop, or skip it for the smoother Todd Lake lot 3 mi further up?

In early July, I took a three-day loop in Oregon, from Portland to Bend. Along the way, there were so many surprises: snow-capped mountains, forests, streams, waterfalls, and desert (High Desert). This article mainly introduces the snow mountain-related attractions. All the attractions mentioned here require just over 1 hour of pure driving time (blue route on p18). p1-2 white river west sno-park In summer, there are streams formed by snowmelt from the mountain; in winter, it’s covered in snow. It’s not a well-known spot, but many RVs and elegant older couples come here with small stools to drink tea and chat. p3-5 Parkdale RFPD - Mt Hood Station The first two photos are taken on the slope opposite the fire station, and the last one is on the road a bit further south of the fire station. p6-11 Hood River Lavender Farm Lavender farm + wine tasting. The farm offers lavender ice cream full of ice crystals. You can pick lavender yourself. The souvenir shop sells lavender-related items like essential oils, sprays, and tea. The wine tasting area doesn’t have much food, only cold cuts and cheese platters, but the strawberries on the platter are surprisingly delicious. Facing north, you can see Mt Adams in Washington state; facing south, you can see Mt Hood. p12 Hope Ranch Lavender Another lavender farm with fewer visitors. There are white chairs perfect for photos (unlike the colorful chairs at Hood River Lavender Farm, which don’t inspire photo-taking). You can see both Mt Adams and Mt Hood here. You can also pick lavender yourself, and the souvenir shop is similar. p13 Panorama Point A parking lot next to a private residence, located at a higher elevation with no obstructions. You can enjoy a distant view of Mt Hood. Nearby are some private farms and orchards. p14-17 Timberline Lodge This hotel was a filming location for The Shining, located halfway up Mt Hood. In summer, you can start hiking to the snow line from here. The trail is steep, so hiking poles are recommended. p18 Overall route map in the photo. Starting from Portland, it takes 1 hour to reach point A, Panorama Point, at the northernmost side. After completing the blue route, heading west for about 1 hour 20 minutes will bring you back to Portland. Driving south for over 2 hours will get you to the towns of Sisters/Bend. 📷: sony a7r5

We spent the weekend in Bend, Oregon. What a beautiful city. 🌆 Stunning views of sunset from the viewpoint in the city. There is an amazing Gelato place called Bonta. Enjoy a walk around the lake downtown, and enjoy a craft beer at a local brewery. In the afternoon head to the edge of the city and enjoy chasing waterfalls. #travel #waterfall #oregon

Be careful anyone traveling thru Bend Oregon. Allot of snow everywhere u go! Cars slipping and sliding off the road. Coming from the south this is a new experience. #wintergetaway ##bendoregon

30 minutes outside of Bend in Central Oregon is an adorable escape with alpacas to feed and pet along with a beautiful surround of mountains and hills covered in snow.
