As soon as you enter Eguisheim, you'll find that its most unique feature is its concentric street design! Unlike the typical medieval European grid plan, the streets here expand outward in circles from the center, much like the rings of a tree. The best part about strolling around here is that with every turn you take, you discover completely unique, endless new street views to capture. Absolutely love it! 📍 100% Authentic Medieval Vibe. The fairytale feel here comes not just from the narrow concentric cobblestone streets, but mainly from the authentic, colorful half-timbered houses lining both sides that have been preserved since the 16th and 17th centuries! The exterior colors are as pastel as macarons: pink, soft yellow, mint green, baby blue... you name it! As for transportation, we just called an Uber directly from Colmar for a day trip, which was super convenient. Checking online, there should actually be bus routes nearby that can get you there too.
