2026 Narberth Travel Guide: must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transport & travel experiences (updated in July)

Narberth has one of the best independent high streets, a buzzing food scene and an array of antique and vintage stores. My favourite antique stores are · The Bazaar · The Malthouse · @usefulandbeautifulthings When it comes to food, my personal faves are · Breakfast, brunch & Coffee @stopio.narberth · Street food at @hwbnarberth · Drinks & light bites at The Star I also recommend freshly baked pastries at @rock.n.dough, tapas treats at @ultracomidanarberth , @topjoestownhouse for pizza and Fire & Ice for gelato Along the highstreet you will also find plenty of independent stores, delish galleries and makers. I really like Jago, Happy Planet & The Wild Wisteria to name a few The museum is also worth a visit, the cafe and fantastic secondhand bookstore is free to visit and the museum has a small admission charge & is very interesting with plenty of interactive exhibits for kids. Unfortunately Narberth Castle is currently closed for repairs but will hopefully open again, until then 15mins down the road you will find Llawhadden Castle which is free to visit & a substantial ruin to explore. For those who enjoy a walk there is a lovely trail from Carding Mill Lane, which leads directly into ancient Canaston Woods. Our first visit to Narberth . A trip booked to attend a funeral , that actually turned into a very nice visit to somewhere we had never been before . Booked for a group of pensioners. We had a few hiccups with travel , delays and cancelations but I have to say that we were treated extremely well , people were so helpful at the stations , from the boarding point at Newport , along the way at Swansea and Carmarthen and they even arranged a minibus for us for the cancelled bit of the journey . We had such a great experience that we are planning our next “ Trip “ experience already Date of visit 06/05/2026 Places and things to mention - we booked an absolute diamond of a local taxi driver who picked us up in his 7 seater minibus and looked after us all day . We had a lovely meal at the Angel . Initially we thought the menu a bit expensive but the food quality soon dispelled that . We finished off with a drink at The Dragon pub. Everywhere we went people were so friendly .

We had good time staying in this lovely property. It’s like 5 minutes drive from Narberth station and it is up on the hill. The property has some lovely decor and the you can walk around their kitchen garden, fruit garden. They try to grow their own for the kitchen and the rhubarb jam is tasty. It is a quintessential Welsh experience. We feel very relaxed staying here and would love to come again.
