After a brief stopover in Nerja on the way from Almería, this place, with its numerous cafes and diverse beaches, offers a genuine experience of Andalusian traditional charm. Standing on the "European Balcony" in this white town surrounded by the sea on three sides, you can gaze out over the Mediterranean. Although it doesn't have the developed film industry or diverse shooting locations like Almería, which serves as a base for many international blockbusters, Nerja remains an important place in Spanish popular film and television culture, especially in TV dramas and Mediterranean-themed works. This town holds the memories of several generations in Spain, as the 1981 TV series "Verano Azul" (Blue Summer), which tells the story of young people vacationing by the sea, made Nerja famous. Many beaches, old town streets, and areas near the European Balcony featured in the show are deeply ingrained in the hearts of Spaniards. This nationally beloved Spanish series is comparable in popularity to China's "Princess Pearl," the U.S.'s "Friends," or Japan's "Long Vacation." After wandering around the town for half an hour, visiting a few beaches and strolling down a street, the atmosphere was peaceful and leisurely. In a rush before leaving, I took a quick look inside the town's most famous church, then headed to the park parking lot, where I discovered the boat of the old fisherman Chanquete, a must-photograph icon for Spaniards visiting here. The natural scenery and geographical conditions here are excellent. Most visitors come to check in for the youthful memories evoked by the TV series, while others, like me, follow the filming locations to travel with the light and shadow. Walking and pausing here brings a truly calm and peaceful mood. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to dip my feet in the water at the beach before continuing on to Málaga, Spain's fifth-largest city.

While staying in Spain, I had some free time, so I took a bus to Nerja for a two-night stay. It was a much better city than I had imagined; the sea truly felt like a European beach, and it was a place where I felt incredibly relaxed just lying on the beach watching people play volleyball and swim!
