Peekskill travel guide and discussion

Peekskill hike might be the best place to hike within 1 hour of NYC. The views were actually amazing and all the paths were well organized. We were aboe to wander off into the beaten path a bit which I recommend if you have the proper boots ( a ton of marsh land). Right near the entrance there is a beautiful lake with BBQS and tables to enjoy with your family. My dog really loved the views and there were a ton of shallow spots to bring him into the water. I recommend that you take the Blue and Yellow path to the top of the mountain and then the purple path for the best view. bring lots if water and snacks because we were out for a good 3 hours before we got back. Grab a map at the entrance! #staycation #hikingtrails

New York City seriously feels like two different universes. Brace yourself for these two must-see icons: Times Square: The Electrical Pulse ⚡️ Honestly, it’s sensory overload in the best way— chaotic, wild, and those neon signs are actually BLINDING. 24/7 action means you never know what magic (or mayhem) is coming next! Sights: Get ready for skyscraper-sized digital billboards and street performers bringing their A-game on every corner. It’s like stepping into a blockbuster movie scene. Energy: Non-stop. The heart of New York never rests. If you crave that “I’m in the center of the UNIVERSE” rush, this is where you’ll find it. ⭐️ Address: Times Square, Broadway & 7th Ave, New York, NY 10036 ⭐️ When to go: Literally any time— the lights never go out! Best for: You want the full-on big city experience? This is it. Brooklyn Bridge: The Architectural Escape 🌉 The bridge feels totally different— timeless, relaxed, and super Insta-worthy. The historic wooden boardwalk and dramatic stone arches are classics. Sights: Take in all that gorgeous architecture and the crazy panoramic skyline views across the river. Sunset here? Absolute cinematic magic. Energy: Gentle breezes, city lights starting to sparkle, and space to actually *breathe*— it’s all about that chill, romantic connection to the city. ⭐️ Address: 11 Brooklyn Bridge, New York, NY 10038 (Manhattan entrance at Park Row & Centre St) ⭐️ When to go: Sunset is next-level. The golden hour glow? Unreal. Best for: Sunset strolls, peaceful photos, and soaking up the skyline without the chaos. New York hits you with its wildest city vibes in Times Square, but slows you down for pure calm energy at the Brooklyn Bridge— especially with that famous skyline at sunset. #lfangel #travel2026 #travel #trip #staycation #naturalwonders #thingstodo #familytravel #museums #myitinerary #citydaytours #afternoonteatime #newyork #america #newyorktimessqaure #timessquare #brooklynbridge #statueofliberty #sightseeing
