Enjoying the lake and mountain scenery all the way from Qiandao Lake, I planned to visit Cangnan to see the sea. While planning the route, I found Huaixi to be a great spot and decided to rest there for two days. I booked two nights at Zhujian Qisu online, and I absolutely loved it after checking in! The guesthouse is hidden in the forest. As soon as you enter, you’re drawn to the huge courtyard. Sitting there drinking tea and basking in the sun, you instantly slow down and feel completely relaxed. There’s a restaurant on the first floor offering meal ordering services. The uncle cooks fresh dishes on the spot, with authentic homemade flavors that are delicious. The large floor-to-ceiling windows in the room are stunning. Pull back the curtains and you’re greeted by endless forest views—so healing. Sitting by the window sipping tea is very cozy. The decor is atmospheric, and the facilities are well-equipped, including a smart toilet, separate wet and dry bathroom, and plenty of stable hot water. The cleanliness is exceptional, with attention to detail everywhere. If you want to experience rural fun, just tell the uncle and he’ll personally take you to dig bamboo shoots. Bamboo shoots you dig yourself taste even better and it’s super fun. The guesthouse location is also convenient—just a 20-minute drive to Shunxi Zhiyinjian or South Yandang Mountain. On clear days, you can even see a sea of clouds here. It’s perfect for summer to escape the heat and play in the water. The natural pool water is clear and clean, making it very comfortable to soak in during summer.
