If you think Málaga in Spain is just the city, think again! There’s sooo much more to this epic region, and I gotta spill my fave travel hack: stay in Torrox (yup, that cute little town just outside Málaga)! Private apartments here are way more budget-friendly, and you’re surrounded by vibes that are on another level. Plus, the beaches? Absolutely unbelievable – total paradise status. 🏖️ Getting around is a breeze too! Hop on a local bus and in under an hour you’ll be in central Málaga. Don’t miss the iconic Málaga Cathedral (Calle Molina Lario 9, Málaga, open daily 10:00-18:00) – the entry fees are super affordable for youth and families, so no need to break the bank. Pro tip: Follow your nose and grab the dreamy incense used in the cathedral. When you walk past a shop wafting that heavenly scent, you know you’ve found the spot selling them! When it comes to food, Málaga’s scene is next-level. You HAVE to try their cold soups like gazpacho and salmorejo – sooo fresh, loaded with vitamins, and honestly the best travel fuel. Don’t skip the famous Malaga snails in sauce (“caracoles en salsa”) – seriously, they’re wild and totally unique! Back in Torrox, you can amp up your trip by renting a boat or a jet ski for some water fun (check out local rental spots along Avenida el Faro, Torrox Costa). Adventure mode: on! 🚤 If you’re craving even more magic, head the other way to the vibrant town of Nerja. The beaches here are a whole mood (think: pigeons and parrots soaring overhead) and there’s a whole menu of epic seaside hangs to pick from. Absolute MUST: Stroll the legendary Balcón de Europa (Nerja) – it’s basically where the world ends and all the beauty just explodes in front of you. 🌅💯 TLDR: Dare to adventure beyond Málaga’s city center. We stayed in a beachfront bungalow for four nights and had a very enjoyable experience. The bungalow was spacious, had a comfortable bed, and the air conditioning worked well. We captured hundreds of photos of the beach and stunning sunsets, as the location is beautiful and perfect for relaxation. However, note that the view from the bungalow is not entirely open to the sea; there are palm trees and sunloungers blocking part of the horizon. The beach was well-maintained, though the seawater was not clear due to the sandy bottom, which was expected. Still, the sea was pleasantly warm. There was also a clean, well-kept swimming pool that wasn’t crowded, likely due to limited shaded areas nearby. Breakfast was excellent, featuring a buffet with plenty of choices and freshly cooked omelets. However, we were disappointed by the evening meal at the restaurant/bar due to extremely poor service on our first attempt. Fortunately, there are numerous restaurants within walking distance. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

Had a fantastic stay at the Iberostar Waves Malaga. Not only is a first line beach property, the staff, food and property conditions was excelente. One can choose to include meals each day at the buffet restaurant and the offer and quality of food was delicious. Staff very friendly, usually speaking Spanish, English and German. Totally recommended. #familytrip

Andalucia Tour ~ Malaga (Region) Torrox is famous for its beaches and historical and artistic heritage. Near the lighthouse there are Roman archaeological remains and a 15th-century watchtower. A stroll through the city center is highly recommended. It’s a place of narrow streets, whitewashed houses and balconies adorned with flowers, and is home to the picturesque Plaza de la Constitución and the 17th-century Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación church. #2024TravelReview #SpainTravel #Andalucia
