After watching 'My Altay,' it was so beautiful that I wanted to cry

I recommend all friends who go to Xinjiang to watch it once before going, you will definitely have a different experience! Thinking back to playing in Xinjiang last year, I also understand why this drama is so immersive; Xinjiang is indeed just like in the drama, with many 'Yu Shi' characters. To say 'My Altay' is a drama is less accurate than calling it a documentary. In Hemu, we experienced horse riding, and most of the ponies belong to the herders themselves. They know the names of each pony, and some of the newly employed ponies were even delivered by them. Our leader was a 256-year-old young man who, after graduating from university, came back to help manage the horses, cattle, and sheep. In our eyes, horses may just be a means to make money, but they actually cherish their ponies very much. They take breaks after walking a distance to not tire the ponies. In Xinjiang, male horses are responsible for the dirty and tiring work, haha, while the little mares take care of the foals, grazing and strolling leisurely. Not all horses can gallop; the round-bellied stallions can't run and can only carry heavy loads, while the ponies with flat sides can take us for a run, haha. We rode the longest route, reaching the top where there are few residents, with high grasslands and clouds so close it feels like you could touch them with an outstretched hand. It was also the hay-cutting season, with hay stacks nearby, and free-roaming kittens coming over wanting to be petted. Everything was very serene and beautiful. For us, it was a trip, an experience, but this is the everyday life of the indigenous people living in Altay, riding horses, herding sheep, and cutting grass
