Machu Picchu: The Inca City Ruins in Central-Southern Peru

We left the city of Cusco early in the morning and headed to the nearby city of Ollantaytambo via the Temple Road. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery and traveled through the picturesque Andes for two hours. When we arrived in Ollantaytambo, we stopped to have a snack. Then we resumed our journey through the roads of the Amazon forest region. We stopped more than once to take a break. We finally arrived at the famous archaeological site of Machu Picchu. We were amazed by the ancient cultural monuments that still exist after centuries. We walked the site for a long time, marveling at the greatness of the ancient Inca civilization. Before the sun set, we left the site to spend the night in Ollantaytambo before returning to Cusco the next morning. It was a fun and informative experience.
