Guangxi Scenic Spot - Chongzuo Zuojiang Leaning Tower

The Chongzuo Leaning Tower, also known as the Zuojiang Returning Dragon Leaning Tower, Shuibao Tower, or Crooked Tower, is located on the Aotou Mountain Island in the Zuojiang River near Dacun, Taiping Town, Jiangzhou District, Chongzuo City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The tower was initially built between the first year of Tianqi in the Ming Dynasty (1621) and the second year of Chongzhen (1629). After several additions, it has now become a five-story brick tower. The total height of the leaning tower is 18.28 meters, with a diameter of 5 meters at the base. Its architectural craftsmanship is ingenious, and the tilt angle has reached an astonishing 7 degrees 59 minutes 11 seconds. Such unique architectural features have made the Zuojiang Leaning Tower famous and have been hailed as one of the 'Eight Great Leaning Towers of the World'.
