Yunnan·Dali·Three Pagodas

☘️The scenic area is composed of two parts. The first half is called the Three Pagodas area, which is larger and the buildings are more dispersed; Chongsheng Temple was burned down during the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty, only the three pagodas were well preserved. The second half is Chongsheng Temple, which is smaller and the buildings are more concentrated. ☘️The Three Pagodas are composed of one large and two small towers. The large tower is also known as Qianxun Tower, and the local people call it "Wenbi Tower". It was built during the Nanzhao period of the Tang Dynasty and is a typical hollow square brick tower with dense eaves in the Dali area. The three pagodas of Chongsheng Temple combine three functions, and the tower-building art is at its peak, with extremely high historical, cultural and architectural value. ☘️The Three Pagodas face Erhai Lake to the east and Cangshan Mountain to the west. In history, 9 emperors of Dali became monks here. The Tianlong Temple in Mr. Jin Yong's novel "Tianlong Babu" is based on Chongsheng Temple. In the book, Tianlong Temple is the royal temple of Dali, with a grand and solemn momentum, and the real Chongsheng Temple is just like this.
