Erhai Lake, formerly known as Yeyuze, Kunmichuan, and Xier River, is located in Dali, Yunnan. It has a drainage area of 2565 square kilometers, a lake surface elevation of 1966 meters, a lake area of 252 square kilometers, a shoreline length of 129 kilometers, a north-south length of 42 kilometers, an east-west width of 3 to 9 kilometers, a maximum depth of 21.3 meters, an average depth of 10.8 meters, 27 main inflowing rivers, 2 outflowing rivers, and is under the jurisdiction of 15 townships and 3 offices in Dali City and Eryuan County, comprising 167 village committees and 33 communities, with a total population of 870,000 people. It is located in the watershed area of the Lancang River, Jinsha River, and Yuan River, and is the second-largest plateau lake in Yunnan Province. Erhai Lake is suitable for visiting in spring and autumn, with attractions such as Little Putuo, Nanzhao Folklore Island, and Luoshan Peninsula.
