The Chongsheng Temple Three Pagodas Scenic Area in Dali

Dali's most famous Buddhist holy site. The Three Pagodas are the iconic buildings of Dali. They are majestic and solemn. The tallest pagoda, also known as the Qianxun Pagoda, was built during the Tang Dynasty and is a sixteen-eaved hollow brick pagoda. The Three Pagodas are famous for their miraculous nature; it is said that after an earthquake caused cracks, they miraculously closed on their own and have stood for a thousand years. Chongsheng Temple is always enveloped in the scent of incense, with the sound of Buddhist chants never ceasing. Vegetarian meals are also offered here, attracting many pilgrims.
