The charm of a millennium-old ancient city

The ancient city of Heishui, also known as Black City, is located in Ejina Banner, Inner Mongolia, and is the most intact and grandest ancient city ruins on the northern route of the ancient Silk Road. The current ruins of Black City in Ejina Banner are the remnants of the Yuan Dynasty's Heishui ancient city. However, due to the passage of time, the Black City ruins have been buried by yellow sand, with broken walls and dilapidation. The Black City seen in the scenic area today is not the real ruins; it is a new "Heishui Ancient City" that has been reconstructed elsewhere according to the 1:1 scale of the Black City ruins, satisfying the curiosity of those interested in ancient history and culture. Inside the city, the streets, government offices, and post stations have all been restored, allowing visitors to experience the charm of a millennium-old ancient city.
