Harbin Travel Recommendation—Sun Island

Harbin's Sun Island is a national AAAAA-level scenic spot and a historic scenic area. Adjacent to the Songhua River, it enjoys a unique advantage as a rare river beach wetland. The scenery is beautiful, and there is different beauty throughout the four seasons. As a local Harbin resident, I recommend that friends who come to Harbin for a visit take a stroll on Sun Island; you will definitely find it worthwhile. The above photo was taken in May 2024, and there are many more beautiful scenes that are picture-perfect even with a casual snap. Admission is free. Upon entering Sun Island, the first thing that catches your eye is the rippling Songhua River, with the sunlight casting golden glimmers on the water, forming a stark contrast with the lush greenery of the island, like a vivid ink painting. Strolling along the riverbank, you will see rows of tall and straight birch trees, which show different styles with the changing seasons: the fresh green of spring, the lushness of summer, the golden yellow of autumn, and the silver-clad winter, each season has its unique charm!
