The Dazhao Temple in Hohhot

The Dazhao Temple was presided over by Altan Khan, the leader of the Tumote tribe in the Ming Dynasty, in the seventh year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty. It is a large Tibetan Buddhist temple and belongs to the Gelug sect (Yellow Sect). The word 'Zhao' in Dazhao Temple means temple in Tibetan, and its original Chinese name was 'Hongci Temple', which was later changed to 'Wuliang Temple'. Because there is a silver Buddha enshrined in the temple, that is, the statue of Sakyamuni enshrined in the Buddha Hall, made by Nepalese craftsmen, the whole body is cast from 30,000 taels of pure silver, so Dazhao Temple is also called 'Silver Buddha Temple'. The treasures of the Dazhao Temple are extremely rich, and the silver Buddha, dragon carvings, and murals have become the 'three unique features' of the Dazhao Temple, which are historical relics of the Ming Dynasty. As a tourist, I feel that the Dazhao Temple is a great place to worship Buddha.
