Entering the secluded canyon like no one else's land—the low-key Maying River Canyon

From Jiayuguan City to Zhangye, the Qilian Mountains covered in white snow can be seen all along the way. Halfway through, turn south and head straight to the foot of the mountains to reach the grand Maying River Canyon. As you walk towards the edge of the cliff, the ground beneath your feet suddenly disappears, and a magnificent canyon appears before your eyes. It's definitely the kind of height that can't be appreciated in photos but can scare those with a fear of heights, with desolate Gobi all around. By chance, I also saw a group of rare Przewalski's gazelles foraging, feeling like I was shooting for National Geographic. However, the alert animals ran away as soon as they heard noise, and I couldn't get my phone out in time.
