Exploring kyoto by night ๐ŸŒ™

The Fushimi Inari shrine in Kyoto is free and open 24/7, so the perfect place for nighttime adventures! I had visited in the daytime before, but at night it is totally transformed. If you are visiting in the summer, it is also a lot cooler at night. It was amazing to see how the light changed as the sun went down, with a beautiful sunset painting golden colours on the gates and shrines then fading to a mystical dark night. I particularly loved photographing the beautiful striped patterns on the floor from light shining through the gates from the lanterns ๐Ÿฎ This shrine is huge, with the Tori gates climbing all the way up the hill, so I would recommend wearing study shoes and being prepared for a few hours walking to see it properly and walk above the crowds. #tripblazers #urbanexplorer #passionpassport #celebratewithtrip #kyoto #kyototravel #japan #nightwalk
