The 'Pearl of Southern Sichuan' - Yuchan Mountain

Yuchan Mountain is located next to the county town of Luxian in Luzhou City, Sichuan Province, and is named for its frog-like shape and rocks. Yuchan Mountain has always been famous in southern Sichuan for its secluded mountains, peculiar stones, beautiful waters, and numerous cultural relics. There are more than 400 Ming Dynasty cliff carvings on Yuchan Mountain, with the largest being over a meter and the smallest less than a foot, featuring smooth lines and lifelike expressions. Among them, 'Thousand-Handed Guanyin', 'Nine Dragons Bathing the Prince', 'Enlightenment', 'Liu Hai Playing with a Toad', 'Eighteen Arhats Drifting on the Sea', etc., are finely carved and skillfully crafted, and are considered artistic masterpieces, highly praised by visitors. The relief of 'Refugees' by master of traditional Chinese painting Jiang Zhaohe is a representative work that inspires generations of viewers to rise up with patriotic enthusiasm.
