Penang is an island and state in Malaysia on the western coast of the peninsula in the Andaman Sea. Located a few kilometers from the coast and connected to the mainland by a bridge. Penang is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Malaysia. The capital of the state and the island, the city of George Town, is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List due to the huge number of historical monuments and attractions that attract many tourists every year. Beach holidays in Penang are poorly developed. There is only one full-fledged beach resort here - this is the Batu Ferringhi area.
