Train museum 🇮🇹

#2024wish Just had a great day at the Pietrarsa Railway Museum near Naples that came as a surprise! 🚂💨 This train museum, hidden from the normal tourist places is great for history fans. The cost to go in is a fair €8, and believe me it's for something really amazing. The museum has a great display of old trains, carriages and engines from the history of rail travel in Italy. Going through the big rooms, you really feel how time travels with steam power. 🕰️🚆 For me, the best part was learning about Royal Carriages - that's luxury travel! The fancy insides and old stories give a bit of royal charm. 🚋👑 After learning about trains, go for a walk around the museum area. The outside has nice fixed trains near lots of green plants - great for a relaxed day. 🌳☕ To see more, get on the Circumvesuviana train to Naples and go check out either The National Archaeological Museum or old city center.
