Bells and Pipes Museum in Przemysl

Established in September 2001, the Museum of Bells and Pipes is located within the Old Town, in the late Baroque Clock Tower. This tower was erected in the years 1775-1777 as a belfry of the Uniate cathedral and after the dissolutions of Josephine became the property of the city. In 1983, it became the property of the National Museum of the Przemyśl Region, and the last renovation meant that the axes of its storeys were adapted to exhibition functions and an exhibition of monuments of bell founding and pipe-making was arranged - products for which our city was and is famous in the country and abroad. The exhibition of pipes, skilfully integrated into the architecture of the Tower, is gradually being modified, which is primarily related to the significant expansion of the collection with purchases and gifts. On the first floor, pipes from the museum collection are presented. Two bells with elements of the city's coat of arms are associated with Przemyśl: the bell from the town hall funded by the mayors Czehowicz and Grzybowski.#poland #museum #przemysl #polandmuseumprzemysl
