Night at Yeowon

The night streets of Yeowon had a completely different atmosphere compared to the daytime. During the day, the focus was on the elegant gardens, red walls, and serene ponds. But at night, the traditional houses began to glow softly under the subtle lighting. It felt like stepping back in time, walking through a Joseon-era garden. At the entrance, groups of tourists were gathering to take photos, while deeper into the alleys, many people were quietly strolling. The sound of pebbles crunching underfoot with each step and the faint scent of candles in the air created a truly pleasant ambiance. The lights reflecting on the pond were especially beautiful. As the gentle ripples in the water moved, the lights shimmered and sparkled, resembling starlight in a glass. If the garden was simply beautiful during the day, at night it transformed into a space filled with stories. There was hardly any of the usual bustling tourist vibe, making it perfect for a peaceful walk and some quiet reflection. As I walked quietly, listening to the sound of the wind seeping through the walls, I realized, 'The true charm of Yeowon lies in its nights.'
