Shanghai Museum on People's Square

The round building on People's Square houses one of the wings of the Museum of Ancient Chinese Art (the East Wing is in Pudong). Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, except Mondays. Admission is free with a foreign passport and no reservations required! Getting there: Line 1, People's Square metro station. The museum displays clothing, jewelry, furniture, calligraphy, and painting. I was lucky enough to see a temporary exhibition of lacquerware and mother-of-pearl inlaid items! #shanghai #shanghaimuseum
