The amazing Shantou small park is a must-visit for you and your bestie

🏮 The festive atmosphere lingers, and Shantou small park is still brightly decorated. This district, steeped in a century of Chaoshan culture, is modestly referred to as a 'small park' - isn't that an understatement? 🏕️ Located at the intersection of Guoping Road, Shengping Road, and Anping Road in Jinping District of Shantou City, Guangdong Province, the park centers around the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Pavilion. It is the birthplace of Shantou, and the historical and cultural district was established in the 1930s. The total area is 35.97 hectares, so spending a whole day here is no problem at all. 👠 My bestie and I strolled from morning till noon and were not yet satisfied, so we chose an evening to specifically enjoy the magnificent night view. It felt like traveling through time into the historical streets, and the photos we took had a cinematic feel. ✔️ Route: Tianhou Palace → Entrance to the small park → Sun Yat-sen Memorial Pavilion → Nansheng Company Department Store → Zheng Zhengqiu and Cai Chusheng Film Museum → Shantou Inn → Sun Yat-sen Memorial Pavilion → Public Reading Station (2nd floor) → Lian Department Store → Great Qing Post Office Of course, there's much more than this; these are just the places we visited. 📷 The most photogenic spots: 1⃣️ Tianhou Palace, built during the Qing Dynasty, is where the people of Shantou go to pray and make wishes. The architecture is distinctive, and you can enter to pray; the incense money is not fixed and is given voluntarily; 2️⃣ Sun Yat-sen Memorial Pavilion, the center of the district, has bright colors and beautiful designs that are great for photos, making it a must-visit spot; 3⃣️ Nansheng Company Department Store, a seven-story building with Shantou's first elevator, is a landmark of the historical and cultural district; 4⃣️ Walking into the streets from Nansheng Department Store, you'll find many signs and arcades with a retro feel, such as Chengcheng Silk Store and Shantou Inn. It's quiet in the morning, so you can take photos without disturbance; 5⃣️ The public reading station near the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Pavilion is on the second floor and is almost deserted, with simple decorations and good lighting, making it a great place for portrait photography; 6⃣️ The area around Lian Department Store, with its varied Qing-era architecture and signs bearing the imprint of that era, naturally exudes a cinematic vibe; 7⃣️ The post office headquarters building, one of the two well-preserved European-style post office buildings in Guangdong Province, has a lot of historical charm; 8⃣️ The small park is incredibly beautiful when lit up at night.
