Hidden Hut in Godley Head Tracks, NZ

⚠️CAUTION: Thistle Warning⚠️ This hidden attraction was built in the around 1910 and was almost carried to Antarctica. The specific history of it is placed on an information board by the hut. No lamps nearby so be careful when going in the evening. Also spot MASSIVE hares/rabbits bouncing around the off-track area if you’re lucky, we spotted two! If you’re hiking around the area definitely go check this out, but beware of the thistle as off the tracks the grass can get pretty tall (see last pic for thistle reference) The stairs can be used, but you cannot enter the cabin.
