During the Later Tang Dynasty, Lin Jian, the ancestor of the Lin family in Dongyong, moved to Xiaocun Dongao (Xinlou) with his six sons to avoid war. Later, he moved to Sixi with his youngest son, and the remaining five sons all stayed in Dongyong. The ancient houses we see in Dongyong today are basically the historical and cultural treasures left to us by the descendants of the Lin family in the process of development. 🚩【National Title】 Dongyong Village has a rich historical heritage and many cultural landscapes. The reason why it is called "new house under" is relative to the old house "big house under". The new house under Lin's house consists of a middle courtyard and a west courtyard. The middle courtyard is a three-entry residence, consisting of a gate building, a front house, a main house, and a wing room. It is a typical courtyard-style building in the southern Zhejiang mountain area, which has a history of more than 500 years. The West Courtyard was built by Lin Maojing, a tribute student, during the Qianlong period. Except for the lack of a front house, the structure is basically the same as the middle courtyard. 3⃣️The entire new house under Lin's house, in addition to the rare beam frame structure of lifting beams and wearing buckets, is the exquisite wood carvings from the hands of the masters of Dongyang, Jinhua, which are everywhere.
