Ronghuai Building in Sanyuan Village, Wuhua, Guangdong

Ronghuai Building is located in Sanyuan Village, Zhuanshui Town, Wuhua County. It was built by Wen Ronghuai, the former Governor of Guangdong during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. It is a typical Hakka residential Weilong House, facing south with a width of 47.5 meters and a depth of 46.5 meters, covering an area of about 4418 square meters. The layout is three halls, two lateral houses, and one Weilong, with a width of five bays. The front screen wall, revolving door, and hand-extending room are connected as one, with a half-moon-shaped pond in front. It features a brick-wood structure, with both Xieshan and Yingzao tile roofs. The main entrance bears the three characters 'Ronghuai Building', and there are two stone column screens in the lower hall, with wood-carved pierced screens in front and behind the central hall. Over 300 years ago, the famous brewing master and creator of Luzhou Laojiao, Wen Rongsheng, was born in 'Ronghuai Building' before moving to the Luzhou area. Ronghuai Building is of certain significance for the study of Wuhua's brewing industry and ancient residences. 'Ronghuai Building' was approved by the People's Government of Guangdong Province as the fifth batch of provincial-level cultural relics protection units in 2009.
