Whenever autumn and winter come, I always think of the magnificent snow mountains in western Sichuan. The sunrise over the Golden Mountain, the ice and snow, and the colorful forest of Siguniang Mountain make it as beautiful as an oil painting. Departing from Chengdu, you can reach this beautiful scenic spot by self-driving for 4 hours. Siguniang Mountain has three scenic spots in total: Shuangqiao Gully, Changping Gully, and Haizi Gully. Among them, Shuangqiao Gully is the most worth visiting because you can take a sightseeing car all the way, which is convenient and fast. After getting off at the terminal, there are many stops to play, and each stop can be chosen at will according to personal preference. Recommended stops include: Sequoia Forest, Budala Peak, Siguna Co, Nianyu Dam, and Ginseng Fruit Flat. The easiest place to capture the beauty of the snow mountain in photos is at Budala Peak Station. A 20-minute walk uphill will take you to Zhugana Co, where the fir trees, lakes, meadows, and snow mountains are all very beautiful. When there is no wind, you can also capture the reflection of the snow mountain. Regarding the weather, although the colorful forest season has passed, Shuangqiao Gully is also very beautiful after snowing. The weather in winter is stable, making it easier to see the sunrise over the Golden Mountain. It is recommended to check the weather forecast in advance. If it is sunny the day after it snows, you must go, it will make people feel like they are in a fairyland. For accommodation, I recommend the Kongshan Homestay where we stayed this time. This homestay is located on the restaurant and terrace, where you can directly enjoy the beauty of the sunrise over the Golden Mountain of Yao Sister Peak. If you arrive at Siguniang Mountain Town on the first day and don't have time to enter the scenic area, you can also choose to stay here. In terms of meals, breakfast is 28 yuan per person, and dinner is 138 yuan per person (reservation required in advance). The beef offal pot and native chicken soup pot provided by the homestay are good choices, and vegetarian dishes can be added unlimitedly, with a large portion.
