Zonzo Estate is located in the Yarra Valley, an hour’s drive from Melbourne. Against a backdrop of a glorious Yarra Glen vineyard, Zonzo Estate Restaurant is a multi-award-winning venue offering a truly unique Italian dining experience. Since opening in 2007, this contemporary cucina has attracted an impressive amount of attention and with its rustically inspired set-up, it’s not hard to see why. Zonzo’s menu is a compilation of Casalinga-style Italian food, paired with a selection of matching estate wines. You and family or friends can gather over sharing dishes like handmade gnocchi with burnt butter, sage and Parmesan, or a slice of pizza with pork and fennel sausage, Spanish onion, rosemary, asiago, Pomodoro and mozzarella. Our favourite dish was slow-cooked lamb, in wine and mushrooms, served with roast potatoes and salad. It was very tender and the portion was plenty for 2 to share. For dessert, we indulged in Chocolate and almond italian cake topped with raspberry coulis and Cannoli, crisp italian pastry filled with ricotta, pistachio and cherries. Need to book a few weeks in advance to secure a table for a special date!
