Half of the name of visiting ancient sites is 'getting the door slammed in your face'

You just can't get in, you can't. The Xuanhua Catholic Church is right next to the Xuanhua Museum. Its history is quite complex; it was built at the end of the Qing Dynasty, burned down by the Boxers, rebuilt with the indemnity from the Boxer Protocol, then occupied by the Japanese, and during the Cultural Revolution, it was vandalized once again. It really is a microcosm of the city and its history. 📷📷📷📷 The church looks quite large, but unfortunately, you can't go inside; you can only walk around it. Does anyone know what it looks like inside? It feels like it would be quite beautiful. The whole color scheme looks like something out of a fairy tale castle. Looking forward to the day it will be open to the public.
