The Three Gorges Dam 185 Viewing Platform

The 185 Viewing Platform is located at the left bank end of the dam top road of the Three Gorges Dam, named for its elevation being 185 meters above sea level, which is the same height as the top of the Three Gorges Dam. The majestic dam extends from here to the south of the river, cutting the Yangtze River in half. Standing on the platform and looking down is like being on top of the dam, where one can feel the height of the dam and, at the same time, experience the magnificent scenery of 'high gorges and flat lakes'.
