Yining Citywalk | A cultural journey worth savoring

Encountering the summer of Yining is like a colorful fairy tale. If you happen to pass by Yining, remember to dedicate a day to this place. The simple local customs, the endless delicacies, the beautiful scenery everywhere, especially the Kazanqi streets, which are like fairy tale houses that have stepped into reality, each door and window deserves a passerby's appreciation. The entire city of Yining is blue, with blue streets, blue wooden doors, windows, and houses, even the cars are painted blue. The colorful houses are just like the scenes from Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales, truly healing and great for photography. This is the only large-scale original ecological cultural city in Northern Xinjiang. - 🕌Kazanqi Compared to Liuxing Street, Kazanqi has more of the old city's true colors, ordinary, worn but real and peaceful. You can choose to take a horse-drawn carriage tour, ride a bicycle, but I advise you to measure it with your feet; don't use navigation, just wander through the streets and alleys. You will see old men chatting under the trees, uncles pruning branches, little boys playing with cats, little girls running in the alleys, and teenagers in school uniforms. They are very enthusiastic and friendly, and they will not refuse to help you take pictures or pose for a photo together. Liuxing Street Compared to Kazanqi, Liuxing Street is more commercialized, and the local residents have been mostly submerged. However, the houses are still beautiful, and the streets are neater and cleaner than Kazanqi. There are many beautiful windows, as well as many cultural and creative shops, suitable for photography and strolling~ If you only come to Yining once, then I suggest you visit Kazanqi during the day, enter from the south gate (the road is wide, easy to park, more original than the north gate) as if you were going to a foreign land, to feel!!! Don't look for popular check-in spots everywhere, I personally think that the original ecological environment has more flavor than any internet-famous check-in spot. The tranquility of the old man sitting at the door feeding pigeons, the fruit stand uncle neatly stacking fruits, the mottled shadows hanging on the blue walls, the smoky feeling of the barbecue stand... I don't want you to miss it. In the evening🌆, take a walk around Liuxing Street, because it might be too crowded during the day. Slowly stroll around at night, look at cultural and creative products, eat popular ice cream, buy a Russian loaf, visit the accordion museum exhibition, and if you're lucky, encounter the Tatar dance in the small square, it would be very satisfying. Additional information: Kazanqi is divided into north and south gates, with the pigeon feeding check-in spot at the north gate, where parking is relatively difficult due to narrow roads and many cars! The commercial atmosphere is heavier, and it's convenient to check in, feed pigeons, eat ice cream, and shop. The south gate is the starting point for horse-drawn carriage tours and the stop for large vehicles. The southern points of interest are more prominent, retaining the traditional atmosphere of life. Coincidentally, my little garden B&B is right on this main tourist road, very close to the south gate.
