Zhangjiajie National Forest Park 1. Specific route for playing at the bottom of the mountain: Enter through the central gate (Zimu Gang ticket station)—Take the eco-friendly bus—Get off at Shui Rao Si Men station—Hike along Jinbian Stream (from east to west)—Arrive at the Great Oxygen Bar Square—Take the eco-friendly bus to Huangshi Village—Get off at the lower station of Huangshi Village cableway—Take the cableway up to Huangshi Village—Tour Huangshi Village clockwise along the big loop—Take the cableway down from Huangshi Village—Take the eco-friendly bus—Head to the south gate of the forest park to exit—Dinner: Xiangji Lao Cai Restaurant 2. Points to note: 1. Time management is crucial to avoid travel groups. I recommend walking Jinbian Stream from east to west. The central gate opens at 7:30 AM, and travel groups usually start hiking from the Great Oxygen Bar Square, moving from west to east along Jinbian Stream around 8:00 AM. Therefore, between 9:00-10:30 AM, the photo spots where 'Journey to the West' was filmed will be crowded. I suggest we either reach the filming location before 9:00 AM or after 10:30 AM, by which time the groups will have passed, making it easier for us to take photos. 2. Safety issues: There are two sections along Jinbian Stream with many monkeys. Do not expose food in front of them or rummage through your bags, as there's a chance the monkeys will snatch things like phones and sunglasses, which they can't distinguish as edible or not. Remember to protect children. 3. I believe Huangshi Village is the most beautiful spot in Zhangjiajie. Don't listen to travel groups saying otherwise. A visit to Huangshi Village should be reserved for 3-4 hours. Travel groups take the cable car up and only take photos around a few spots near the cable car station. I suggest touring Huangshi Village clockwise along the big loop. There's a trail along the edge of the mountain, surrounding the entire village, offering many beautiful views and a peaceful experience with fewer tourists. 4. I recommend taking the cable car to go up and down Huangshi Village. If you choose to walk down, reserve 2-3 hours as the path is particularly steep with some stairs that are wet and slippery. It's not suitable for children and the elderly to hike. Since we have both elderly and children in our group, I've arranged a hiking route up Tianzi Mountain for the third day, so we'll take the cable car both ways. 5. After exiting Zhangjiajie National Forest Park through the north gate, there are fewer restaurants compared to the east gate. Be mentally prepared.
