Tokyo 4D3N Healing Trip for Your Eyes and Stomach
Tokyo x Izu x Narita City📍4 Days 3 Nights Healing Journey
Start your healing mini-trip as soon as you land! This time, I chose an early flight to go and a late flight to return, relying on JR, Uber, and buses to easily explore Tokyo, Izu, and Narita City. This short trip plan includes shopping and gourmet food, as well as local experiences like animal parks. For those who want to relax, there are cat cafes where you can chill. Perfect for those who want a comfortable, slow-paced trip while still enjoying shopping!
🛫 Day 1 Narita · Aeon Mall · Cat Cafe · Outlet
Right after landing, take a bus straight to Aeon Mall (Chiba Narita, Uingutsuchiya, 24 Aeon Mall Narita 2F). Store your luggage in a coin locker for convenience! Relax at Moff Animal Cafe, where the cats are super friendly. The shop thoughtfully labels which cats can be petted and which should not be disturbed (perfect for cat lovers!). The entrance fee includes a drink, so you can sit for 30 minutes and enjoy watching the cats. After shopping at the mall, take an Uber to the outlet for more shopping fun! End the day with a quick and hearty dinner at Sukiya.
🦙 Day 2 Izu Day Tour · Cactus Animal Park · Kadowaki Suspension Bridge · Marine Town
Join a small group tour to Izu, visiting the Izu Cactus Park (Shizuoka Prefecture, Ito City, Futo 1317-13, open 09:30-16:00, ticket ¥117). The park has a wide variety of animals, and you can interact with them up close. Remember to responsibly use the food donation boxes when feeding the animals. Enjoy a scenic coastal train ride, and don’t miss the Kadowaki Suspension Bridge for stunning ocean views and great photo opportunities! The final stop is Marine Town, where you can enjoy some tranquility before heading back to Shinjuku. For dinner, try Tsukada Nojo Izakaya, where you can conveniently order by scanning a QR code.
🛍️ Day 3 Ginza Shopping · Mitsukoshi · Kisoji
Ginza is always a shopping paradise. Mitsukoshi Ginza offers great deals and a wide selection of products. You might even forget to eat breakfast or lunch while shopping! For dinner, I initially planned for yakiniku but couldn’t get a walk-in spot. Luckily, Kisoji (Ginza 5-chome) was available, offering tender meat and excellent service—a must-try after a tiring shopping day.
🍔 Day 4 Omotesando · Tonkatsu · Burgers · Conveyor Belt Sushi · Bakery
The most visually delightful day! For brunch, head to tonkatsu.jp Omotesando (Kita-Aoyama, 3 Chome−9−9 FN Building 1F) for non-greasy, thick, and flavorful tonkatsu. It’s worth the wait! Nearby, Neo Nice Burger in Omotesando serves crispy shrimp burgers and fries—a must-try for a change of taste! End your street food journey with Ginza Onodera’s conveyor belt sushi, considered a top choice in its category (though taste is subjective). Dessert lovers shouldn’t miss AMAM DACOTAN (Kita-Aoyama 3-7-6) for their rich chocolate cookies. Finally, take the evening liner back to the airport. IC card users can easily purchase tickets at the station for a hassle-free departure.
🍭Travel Tips + Reflections:
1. Most luggage can be stored in coin lockers, making shopping worry-free.
2. Be responsible when feeding animals in parks to protect their well-being.
3. For small group tours, check schedules and train times in advance (e.g., coastal trains).
4. Tokyo offers a wide variety of dining options, but popular restaurants may not have walk-in availability. Reservations are recommended.
5. If taking the airport evening liner, IC card users should remember to top up their tickets for a smooth process.
📢 Little Joys of the Trip: Watching cats smile, savoring the freshness of shrimp burgers, and enjoying the crispiness of tonkatsu—all these are the unique warmth and charm of being a traveler!
