Mount Wutai Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
When you step into Wutai Mountain, your feelings will be greatly improved. You feel refreshed, cool and cool, itchy your heart, the air is clear, your eyes are cool, the sky is so blue. The blue is thorough and thorough, and it is dotted with the white and white clouds. The heart is bursting with tears. Unconsciously, the tears soaked in the eyes, and the inexplicable excitement is beyond words. Inside and outside the temple, cigarettes are lingering, and there is a mysterious and solemn atmosphere everywhere. A group of people came and went again with piety and confusion. Throughout the Wutai Mountains, the rafts, the gullies, the valleys and rivers, the forests and the mountains, the basins and the mountains are interlaced, the temples and temples are intertwined with each other, the scenery is picturesque, the peculiar peaks and cliffs, the sturdy and ancient pines and cypresses, and the overflowing Yunshan foggy sea. The magnificent temple towers and the larchs strolling through the mountains are built into a splendid world, forming a beautiful place with bright colors, suitable for people to browse and summer.

There is not just one mountain here, but a group of peaks
Mount Wutai, located in Shanxi, ranks first among the four famous Buddhist mountains in China, known as 'Golden Wutai', and is the sacred place of Manjushri Bodhisattva.
Mount Wutai is not a single mountain, it is a series of peaks situated on the 'Ridge of North China', with the highest point at an altitude of 3061 meters.
In June 2009, Mount Wutai was inscribed on the list of World Cultural Heritage.
If you can't find the direction, just go out for a walk, the answer may be on the way.

Mount Wutai!! Truly breathtaking beauty!! With beautiful foxes and cows! The Dongtai Peak even has the heavenly Wanghai Temple that seems like a paradise on earth!! Highly recommended!! Don't miss it!!
Summer is really the perfect time to visit Mount Wutai! The weather in the mountains, over 10 degrees Celsius, completely blew my mind!
Below is a two-day and one-night self-driving travel guide to Mount Wutai~ Mainly for praying and playing, the itinerary is quite relaxed and spontaneous
For those driving themselves, remember to make a vehicle reservation at the "Mount Wutai Tourist Service Center" in advance! Otherwise, you can't drive into the scenic area~ which is very inconvenient!
Accommodation: Homestays within the scenic area
Itinerary:
DAY: Arrive at noon, you can eat outside the scenic area first~ There are many small restaurants to choose from, after entering the scenic area
· Baohua Temple, drive all the way to the end, there are so many cute little lambs 🐑 at the entrance, so adorable~
· Bodhisattva Peak, 10r/person, a royal temple with extraordinary grandeur!
· Longquan Temple, you can drink spring water in the temple! Many people bought big buckets I, inexperienced, queued for a long time and only got a small bottle~ The water is ice-cold! I really love the architecture of Longquan Temple, it's exquisitely beautiful.
By the time we left, it was already 6:00, check into the homestay, have dinner and rest~ You can drive to a nearby creek to play in the water!!
DAY:
· Wuye Temple, arrive on an empty stomach by car at 8:00 (Parking at Wuye Temple is difficult!! It is recommended to park nearby and walk)
After coming out, check out the only vegetarian Dicos in the country! (Feels even better than the meat ones, how is that possible!! Highly recommended!)
· Dailuo Peak, 8r/person, climb up and take the cable car down, the scenery at the top is unbeatably beautiful~
· Dongtai Peak, you must, must, must go! The most shocking part of the entire Mount Wutai scenic area was Dongtai Peak! When we went, it was partly cloudy and sunny, and we saw a sea of clouds so beautiful I was speechless!
· Wanghai Temple, just climb up and you'll reach Wanghai Temple! I didn't expect such a large temple on the mountain top! Floating in the clouds! The misty clouds gave everyone the illusion of having arrived in heaven 😭 It's really, really, really celestial! So grand! It was worth the several hours of climbing! (Elderly and children can take a shuttle bus back and forth)
We descended around 4:00, you can directly leave the scenic area from Dongtai Peak and head back~ Had knife-cut noodles on the way! (Restaurants in Shanxi are generally closed from 2-6 pm!!! Almost couldn't find food!!) Arrived in Tianjin at 9:00.
tips: The altitude is high in the mountains! The air is thin! Pay attention to sun protection!! Sun protection! Even on cloudy days you can get sunburned!
Bring a thick coat! A thick coat! I brought a light spring/autumn jacket, but still felt cold at Dongtai Peak!
Bring enough dry food! Food, drinks, energy bars!!! Replenish your energy in time~
Lastly May all your wishes come true

Memorial Archway of North China Roof Ridge Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Beitai like a fight, high and sturdy in the sky, the name Ye Doufeng, 3061.1 meters above sea level, there is Lingying Temple for the non-scale Manjusri. As the first peak in North China, Beitai is known as the roof of North China. The difficulty of climbing the top of Beitai is also the biggest among the five. The distance is long and the rise is large, which is more labor-intensive. Many people choose to go to Beitai by car or climb to the top. After the North Taiwan, take the car and leave.
It is said that the Dragon King Hall in Beitai is very effective, so it has attracted countless pilgrims to pray. As for Lingying Temple, it is also the larger one of the five. It has just been renovated in recent years.

The Great Pilgrimage is to ascend the five peaks of Wutai Mountain, among which the North Peak is the only peak in North China with an altitude of over 3000 meters, known as the "Roof of North China". Apart from the factor of faith, the pilgrimage is more about testing one's physical strength and perseverance. The 'Mountain Records' states: 'The five peaks of Wutai Mountain stand tall, rising above the clouds, with no trees on the top, like a mound of earth, hence the name Wutai.' Wutai Mountain is a Buddhist site where the Green Temple and the Yellow Temple coexist in China, with 86 religious activity sites, many of which are imperial temples, and many emperors have come to worship. Famous ones include: Xiantong Temple, Tayuan Temple, Bodhisattva Peak, Nanshan Temple, Dailuo Peak, Jinge Temple, Wanfo Pavilion, Bishan Temple, etc.

Dongtai - "Dongwang Mingxia, such as the wave like a mirror", the famous Haifeng, 2796 meters above sea level, there is Wanghai Temple for smart Manjusri. In the Song Dynasty, Zhang Shangying used poetry to describe Dongtai: "The clouds are smashing and peaking, and the sky is wide and wide. The northeast is clearly watching the sea, and the southwest is looking at Chang'an."
After the dawn, it arrives at Dongtaiding, and it is the cliffside. The wind horse flag that dances with the wind, and the traces left by people in the air. Our luck was very good. Although we did not see the sea of clouds, we saw a long-lost sunrise on the top of Dongtai, which was often rainy and foggy.

Longquan Temple Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Upon first sight of Mount Wutai, I encountered a double rainbow
I went to Mount Wutai to pray for blessings in the summer, and despite the scorching heat, Mount Wutai was very cool. The original name of Mount Wutai is Qingliang Mountain, and it truly lives up to its name! There are many temples on Mount Wutai, and the locals herding cattle on the mountain also form a beautiful landscape. This trip to Mount Wutai was a self-driving tour. On the way up the mountain, be careful to avoid the wandering 🐂. On the last day, I went to Longquan Temple to ask for holy water. After asking for the holy water, before leaving, a double rainbow 🌈 suddenly appeared in the sky, which was very shocking. I hope that the Bodhisattva will bless everything to go smoothly🙏🙏🙏

Xiantong Temple Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Xiantong Temple in Mount Wutai, the earliest temple in China
Xiantong Temple in Mount Wutai, the earliest temple in China, is different from other temples in the Mount Wutai complex. Its overall architecture is particularly spacious, making it very comfortable to walk around in, and it is truly deserving of its status as the premier temple of Mount Wutai.
Xiantong Temple was originally built during the Eastern Han Dynasty under Emperor Ming, and it has a history of more than 1,900 years. The architectural style is primarily of the Ming and Qing dynasties, with the Mahavira Hall, bell tower, and east and west side halls well-preserved. According to legend, Emperor Shunzhi of the Qing Dynasty became a monk here, with the Dharma name 'Xingchi'.
The Bronze Hall of Xiantong Temple is one of the four existing bronze halls in China, with an overall resplendent and magnificent appearance, a must-see!

Xiantong Temple in Shanxi, a must-visit place in this lifetime
Xiantong Temple, located in Taihuai Town, Wutai Mountain Scenic Area, Shanxi Province, was established in the Yongping period of the Eastern Han Dynasty (69 AD). It is the first Buddhist temple established on Mount Wutai, with the longest history and the largest scale. It is also one of the five major Zen places in Mount Wutai, the first temple in the mountain, known as the "second ancient temple in China", and one of the earliest temples in China along with the White Horse Temple in Luoyang. In 1982, the State Council listed Xiantong Temple as a national key cultural relics protection unit.
There are seven halls on the central axis, from front to back, they are Guanyin Hall, Manjusri Hall, Great Buddha Hall, Immeasurable Hall, Thousand Bowls Hall, Copper Hall, and Sutra Hall.
Speaking of the Immeasurable Hall, it is as high as 21 meters, without a single beam, all built with bricks. The outer eaves are carved with brick arches and flowers, and the inner ceiling is carved with a suspended dome, which looks like a flower-covered treasure top, with a unique construction.
You can take the free bus No. 8 in the scenic area, get off at the central area station, and visit with Wuye Temple, Tayuan Temple, Luohou Temple, Guangren Temple, and Shifang Hall.
Those who drive by themselves can park their cars in the parking lot of the Great Manjusri Temple and walk there. In the off-season, you can also park your car in the parking lot under the Dailuo Peak.

The Copper Pagoda of Xiantong Temple in Wutai, an ancient building cast during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, has now become a must-see attraction for travelers. I was fortunate enough to come here in person and feel its unique charm.
The Copper Pagoda of Xiantong Temple in Wutai is located on Mount Wutai in Shanxi, a temple with a long history. This copper pagoda, after years of baptism, still stands on the top of the mountain, showing its solemnity and brilliance to people.
Climbing the copper pagoda, I seemed to travel through the space-time of the ancient times. The vast mountains and green forests around me made me feel the grandeur of nature. The incense and Buddha statues in the tower exude a sacred atmosphere, making people involuntarily bathe in peace and harmony.
The Copper Pagoda of Xiantong Temple in Wutai is not just an ancient building, but also a destination for people to pray and be devout. Many people come to worship, hoping to be blessed and blessed. Standing on the top of the tower, overlooking the magnificent scenery of Mount Wutai, I deeply feel the harmonious coexistence of humans and nature.
This article is my original content of personal experience and feelings. I hope that through my sharing, I can show the history and uniqueness of the Copper Pagoda of Xiantong Temple in Wutai to more people. Whether it is travelers or those interested in ancient buildings and temples, they will find visual shock and peace of mind here.

Xiantong Temple is located at the north side of the Dabai Tower in the central area of Wutai Mountain and at the foot of the Buddha. It is the oldest temple in the Wutai Mountain Buddhist Holy Land. Because the mountain where the temple is located is very similar to the Buddha's saying of the mountain, it is named the big name Lingxiao Temple.
