hike up to Mount Fuji
the main purpose to Japan was to climb Mount Fuji. after spending three days at Tokyo Disneyland, Fuji-Q Highland & Tokyo Sea, we think its already time for a hike.
we started by braving the new adventure through Yoshida Trail from Subaru Line 5th Station (2305m) up to Gansomuro 8th Station (3250m) before heading for summit. It was already dark when we reached Gansomuro because we made a compulsory camera & Foursquare stop at every 8 hut.
anyway, the ascent to #fujisan wouldn't be such a headache if you utilize all 12 huts along d way! i also took a break at Taishi-kan (3100m) while having d mandatory picture session, toilet & wifi fix! atleast i'm pretty sure all 7 of us did!that what took us around 5 and a half hour to reach Gansomuro (3250m) while other hikers usually would reach there in 4 hours
we reached the summit and witnessed the beautiful sunrise. although it was quite packed with other hikers in top of the mountain

Awed at First Sight! i am truly blessed to get a glimpse of the majestic Mount Fuji on my first trip to Japan. At Station 5, it offered a picture perfect spot and places of great food and souvenirs. Mt Fuji is a sight to behold and a remarkable lifetime experience. #merrychristmas

Being at the 5th Station is standing directly on Mt Fuji itself even if you did not hike further to the top. The trail is there at the side and many people did go on the trail for a short distance, as I did too and its a nice opportunity to gauge if you're ready to hike to the top in the near future. Despite the large number of tourists, this was a magical place to visit. The weather was extremely kind to us, giving amazing views down the mountain. We then went to an Information Centre, about thirty minutes down the mountain and watched an informative video about the history and activities to be experienced there.

Fujiten Snow Resort Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Enjoying ski with Fuji View ⛷
Among nearest ski reasort from tokyo and fuji. Free parking on weekdays. But 1000 yen per car on weekend. No need winter tyres during normal winter.
If you become a member of this ski resort, you will get a really good deal. From the second visit, you will get free parking and a 20% discount at restaurants. A family of four can float about one person at a restaurant.
If you have a deposit card, you can charge the lift ticket and use it as many times as you want, but if you charge it online, it will be much cheaper.
Children's schools also let you ski hard, so I felt that the speed of improvement was faster than other ski resorts. Even complete beginners can train themselves to the point where they can ski on a lift in the morning lesson.
The kusamochi at the shop is very delicious, and this is a must-have souvenir.
The staff are very friendly and treat customers from the customer's point of view.
kids friendly ski resort,Fujiten Japan
Fujiten ski resort is the closest ski resort to the city of Tokyo. Located at the foot of Mt. Fuji, this Fujiten ski resort is a 20-minute taxi ride from Lake Kawaguchiko at the foot of Mt. Fuji.
Winter season for Fujiten Ski Resort starts from early December to early April.
If you just want to play in the snow without skiing/snowboarding, the Japan Info Team recommends using the Kids Playground facility, a flat area with a variety of games and a cheaper entry ticket of 700 yen. This facility opens almost simultaneously with the ski/snowboard track. If you want to play sled, you can pay a rental fee of 500 yen. Info: for those who have a 1-Day Pass or other Pass as stated above, they are also free to play at the Kids Playground.

Fuji Hakone Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
A week in Japan 🇯🇵
One of the best trip so far, it was on my bucket list to visit Japan and I was able to ✔️ my bucket list. Since I went in end of August it was very hot but very clean and people were also very nice and friendly.
We only went there for a week so we couldn’t go many places but wherever we went it was beautiful. Will definitely visit again. #Mt.fuji #Hakone #Kawasaki #Japan #Summer holidays #Favorite
Hakone, in Japan's Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park west of Tokyo, is a mountainous town known for its hot springs resorts (onsen) and views of the iconic volcano Mount Fuji. It also encompasses Hakone Shrine, a Shinto shrine with a red “torii” gate overlooking Lake Ashi, which can be toured by boat, as well as the boiling sulphur springs of the Owakudani Valley.#hakone
Fun at Fuji!
A fabulous trip to Hakone, just 2 hours away from Tokyo by train to see Mt Fuji. We had lunch at a restaurant nearby that bosted a beautiful view from the garden. You can also dress up like ninjas, and the gift shop has the most beautiful origami earrings ✨️
We also took a ride on the pirate ship, you won't see the mountain from there but we did get to see Hakone shrine, which is in the water. There are also pedal boats that you can use yourself.#mountfuji

Climbing Mount Fuji Japan
Mount Fuji or Fugaku or Fuji-san is an active volcano, the tallest or highest mountain in Japan, at 3776 meters.
My Fuji is a popular pilgrimage site among Japanese and is considered Japan's third sacred mountain.
I plan to climb Mt Fuji up to station eight or the summit to see the Sunrise. Here is the story of my Journey:
-Take the bus from Tokyo to Subaru station five.
-Station five is the last station for climbers to get or buy all the supplies before the climb.
-I arrived around early afternoon and had lunch at station five before I started my climb.
-There are four routes or trails, and Yoshida Trail is the easy one, suitable for everyone. The trail is easy to follow with directions, and many people are also at the same destination, station eight.
-Climbing Mt Fuji is not a race; you should suit your capacity and enjoy the climb. Usually, it takes around 5 to 7 hours to reach the but at station seven.
-There are two huts for rest and sleep before continuing in the early morning to climb to station eight or to reach the peak around 4 am to see the sunrise.
-Unfortunately, I didn't see the sunrise because of the bad weather of the thunderstorm and heavy rain.
It was a great experience and I will do it again in the future, because I love to see the sunrise.

Mt. Fuji 5th Station
The Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station lies at approximately the halfway point of the Yoshida Trail, which leads from Fujiyoshida Sengen Shrine at the mountain's base to the summit of Mount Fuji. This is probably the closest point that anyone can get to see the beautiful Mt Fuji & its surrounding landscapes, besides hiking. Mt Fuji is the famous, majestic & symbolic icon of Japan - a must see attraction esp when in Tokyo. As expected, the place is swarmed with bus loads of tourists, very crowded. The souvenir store was like a fish market.
I want to hike Mt. Fuji in 2024.

Narusawa Ice Cave Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Ice cave formed by ancient 🌋 eruption
#bucketlistreboot
📍Located in the heart of the Aokigahara Forest at the base of Mt. Fuji, Narusawa Ice Cave is a frozen subterranean realm formed when nearby Mt. Nagao erupted. Pillars of ice, backlighting and a natural skylight give this grotto a fantastic aspect.
🌋 The ice cave was created after Mt. Nagao, which formed Mt. Fuji's northwestern flank, erupted violently in 864. Lava hollowed out a vast underground cave. Temperatures drop steadily as you make your way down the stairs and through low, dark tunnels.
🧊 The ice pillars that form here grow bigger in the winter, and sometimes the stalactites and stalagmites actually connect. The cave's temperature hovers around zero degrees Celsius year-round, and it was once used to store seeds and silkworm cocoons.
My family had a wonderful time exploring Narusawa Ice Cave- a man made ice cave with beautiful ice crystal blocks that were lined up in the cave passage. Make sure to bring a jacket or a sweater, it was freeezing and quite slippery inside the cave. #wintergetaway
